easy but very though-provoking read
This is my favorite trilogy. I read the first part of it as a teenager and fell in love with this writing style. It feels as if I’m also there. It’s easy to understand, for Christians, and also to believe it. It is prophetic. The battle between good and evil. Very timely, educational and inspiring.

A vision that demands to be pondered
I read 40-50 books a year. I enjoy fiction, theology, discipleship, counseling, inner healing, deliverance, revival history, commentaries, etc.I’ve always had a special category for fiction that seemed to transcend and touch upon reality and through which I encountered Jesus in powerful ways. The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia are such books, and I would call them “Sacred yet not Scripture”. The Final Quest has taken the throne of this category for me and has become my favorite book outside of the Bible. Multiple other reviewers mention this book “messing with you” but in a good way. That is an understatement. This book shines light on the hidden motives of the heart and reveals areas of brokenness in need of healing within you. And as it comes with the hammer, it will follow with the oil of hope. This book is a uniquely compelling vision that has the potential to set you on fire, and channel that fire into the very throne room. This is not a book you merely read, it demands to be pondered. I daresay your soul will be better for having done so.

Inspirational and Insightful
I LOVE THIS BOOK! It's like Pilgrim's Progress. You can find 'The Call' (part 1) free if you google 'the call, pdf.' Not sure if it's complete, but I love it enough to buy the hard copy. As I read I quickly relate personal scenes and truths that I have learned along the way. I also like how the author does not explain every detail, e.g., the first few levels of the mountain were salvation, the next ledge was sanctification, one ledge was Gal 2:22 (I am crucified with Christ, never the less I live...) it does not give the readout, also he's looking down and seeing soldiers on the first few levels picking up the demons' arrows to use on the demons, but instead the arrows land on the Christians who are ensnared by the enemy, and then birds of bitterness etc land on the arrows. He does not explain that 'this is like paying anger back with anger' etc, he leaves the reader to infer from personal experience / knowledge what it means. One detractor (IMO) are the few places he does try to explain how the church correlates to these pictures--I just skip those paragraphs--glad there few and far between.

A spiritual roadmap for these distressing times.
I have read these books several times over the years and every time I do I get more out of them because of where I'm at spiritually. I have recommended them to many and I recommend them to you. Wonderful understanding of the scriptures and clear direction for discipleship for yourself and for discipling others.
