Could be better.
I think they missed the mark a bit. The interior of the box is natural wood with some sort of blinking lights. The cat looks happy. I covered the lights, spray painted the inside flat black, and gave the cat some menacing eyebrows. The picture of my ‘after’ is more what I was wanting.

Doesnt work well out the box
When I first tried to use this, the paw that comes out to push the switch down did not have enough force to actually push the switch. I was stuck with an open box, a flashing light, and a paw just resting on top of the switch. I had to push the switch back down myself every time to reset the cycle. I rapidly worked the switch a bunch of times in hope of "loosening" it up. To my surprise, this actually worked and the paw pushes the switch back down on its own now. Was disappointing that the product didnt work out of the box and I had to "fix" it. Overall, its funny but for half of the actions the box makes a bunch of noise and the lid bounces up and down several times. It almost looks like it is malfunctioning and I would actually prefer that the paw just comes out and pushes the switch right away everytime. I have it now and I will keep it but if I could do it all over again I wouldnt buy it.

Needs weight.
It's a cool little gadget, but the switch it so hard to flip that you have to hold the box with one hand while flipping the switch with the other. I was hoping this would be something I could put on my desk to entertain people, but whenever anyone tries to flip the switch they end up flipping over the whole box. Some people try to hold it down by pushing on the lid, but that just means the little motor can't lift the lid.

Save your money.
Let me start by saying that the box itself is nice. It’s constructed from unfinished wood. It’s smooth with no rough patches or sharp edges. It’s a really cute idea, and it’s fun for the kids to play with, but there are some major issues. It takes 3 x AA batteries which are located inside the box, by lifting the lid. There is no cover on the battery compartment. As well, ALL of the mechanics are completely exposed, which feels kind of lazy and cheap to me. I think a simple cover for the interior would have made a world of difference. The biggest issue I have is with the cat/tiger itself. The very small, plush cat head is haphazardly hot-glued to the interior of the lid and features large pieces of Velcro holding it to a small, separate piece of wood (I’m assuming to hold the head vertical so the face doesn’t end up flipping to the lid), but the Velcro is visible. Aside from looking cheap, it’s so small that you can plainly see there isn’t a body attached to the head when in use. Some people may think that’s trivial, but I think it’s pretty vital to the illusion the box is supposed to give. The “paw” doesn’t look anything like a paw. It looks like a candycane covered with thin fabric.Overall, for almost $30, I expected something a little more polished. I don’t expect anything AMAZING for that price, but I think it should at least be well-made and this fell short.I wouldn’t recommend it, honestly.

It's Decent
We bought this for a Christmas gift for one of my fiancé's family members. They were unimpressed, but we actually found this cuter and more amusing than we expected. That said, other commenters who mention that the gap between the cat head and the box is too large are correct, and there is not exactly an element of realism. I think it's decent for a white elephant or a kiddo, but probably not something to gift to a hyper-critical adult. It does open and close the lid a few times before hitting the switch to turn back off in sort of a playful, teasing way which is why we ended up thinking it was cuter and more fun than we had hoped.

Lots more unpredictable than you might expect
I bought a expensive handmade box like this from another source and was very disappointed when it sucked down batteries and repeated after seven or eight cycles. This one is quite well-made and the tiger is cute. The idea of the tiger pushing the switch with its tail is good. It has proved hilariously amusing for my two-year-old grandson! The fit and finish also seem above average.

Fun and funny
I absolutely love this box. It's silly, funny, and really was a great gift for my niece. I wish they has a variety of animals for the box, but all in all it was amazing. Not one thing wrong when it arrived as well.
