second time and still a charm
this is the second product i get from Sabrent , the first one was 4TB Rocket 4 Plus NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 Internal SSD Extreme Performance Solid State Drive R/W 7100/6600MB/s (SB-RKTSabrent 4TB Rocket 4 Plus NVMe 4.0 Gen4 PCIe M.2 Internal SSD , and it was perfect in all aspects .this time i ordered the Sabrent Rocket Q 2TB NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 Internal SSD High Performance Solid State Drive and until now it didn't disappoint in any way , although i have to say that the shipment took long time time to arrive but i understand this specially at this time .the part was very easy and direct to install and also it ran perfectly with windows 10 with no issues , the speed is outstanding even for a normal SSD and the writing speed , heat and overall performance was on the note .highly recommended price for quality comparing to other brands .

GO BIG OR GO HOME!
While I have only been using this for about a week at this point I couldn't be happier. While time will only tell and I will update this if there are any issues of course but I am very happy so far.So fast compared to what I'm use to! It has actually disrupted my morning routine as I use to have time to get a cup of coffee while my old system booted up, lol. Now I walk in with my coffee, hit the power button, and before I get my chair situated I have my login prompt. Loading large game files is so fast I hardly notice it and I have not yet been able to discern a single noticeable lag with a cut-scene load-in.I have been planning my first "real self-built" PC for some time and there was never a question in my mind that it was going to use this type of storage. I shopped around a lot and did plenty of research to make sure I was getting the best product for the money that it was going to last me for years. My previous (full-time) desktop has a 1TB HDD and I use a lot of it so I wanted to have large capacity and good expand-ability in my new system. At first I was going to go with a 1TB M.2 and then a 2TB later but I decided that if I am already using almost a TB and not even downloading the huge modern game files I was building this system to play. I would need to start bigger or be disappointed in a few years. My first REAL PC had a huge hard drive for the time (6 GB, no joke, it was the 90s) and I thought that was incredible. Now I've got a 2TB M.2 SSD the size of a pack of gum! Not to mention the speed it loads my software (Make sure you get the right motherboard or you might as well just buy a regular 2.5" SATA SSD.)I plan on adding another 2TB M.2 in the near future to round out my system storage and then a large HDD for back-up. So far I totally intend to use the same 2TB Sabrent Rocket Q M.2 for my second drive. I built my system to be upgraded easily but starting with the right storage and motherboard makes that so much easier and that is where my initial money went and I am so far very happy with that decision.(While I know drive failures are a thing to be concerned about in any form factor. I have seen no evidence of that being an issue with these. That said, always back-up your files regularly on a separate drive no matter what form of storage you use! I lost my entire laptop's drive along with the system back-up on the same HDD. Never made that mistake again.)

Beautifully made, packaged and supported SSD
Today (March 26, 2020) I replaced my "main" 2TB (actual) hard disk with this 2TB Sabrent SSD.It came BEAUTIFULLY packaged (in a shipping-"idiot-proof") aluminum case! And it installed (in my own build MSI Z370 "Gaming Plus" motherboard (in the #4 PCI-e slot), using a separately purchased Q-NINE PCI-e adaptor (also terrific, reviewed separately). With GREAT CARE (working slowly and using my years of computer-building experience), the whole thing went together easily and my PC "found" the new drive immediately.I've read (especially re: the Q-NINE adaptor) of all sorts of "horror stories." Well, to me those ALL reflect people NOT knowing what they're doing AND not "reading the directions."This SSD is FAST, runs (with the Q-NINE's nifty heat-sink PCI-e adaptor) at 82° NOT under load, and when really pushed (as in copying 20gb at a time from my former Hard Drive ONTO IT, only got up to 94° . . . and cooled down IMMEDIATELY. (I use CrystalDiskInfo ver 8.4 to monitor temp . . . that's free and downloadable).ALSO the Sabrent online registration (converting a 1-year to a 5-year warranty) was VERY THOROUGH. Thanks Sabrent! I'll be back for more.

Best bang for buck SSD pre covid. After.... I would wait since the market shot up.
Very solid SSD running windows 10 and none raid set up. I picked these up in January 2020 then a second in June 2020 for $114 usd then $270 3 months later. Price tends to fluctuate a lot. As for the games I am the first to load into games like tarkov and squad with a fair bit of ram to load files from. I recommend these to my friends but I would wait for a price drop as pre covid they where best bang for your buck. Easy to install and pick up mounting items, my mother board did not come with mounting screws so I had to order a kit for 6 bucks here on Amazon. Would suggest saving a pair of chop sticks for the install to not worry about static discharges. Or hemostat forceps work great aswell I just have rubber gloves I rock when I use metal around my rig.
