Acer V226WL bd 22-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor

I've bought several of these for my office of 5 people, with each desk set up with dual monitors. Each monitor has worked well and has great picture quality for the applications we use frequently such as Microsoft Office, Google Earth, XMap, Vizio and Adobe. They've all been plug and play with no problems.

The picture on this monitor is bright and sharp. I purchases it to replace an Acer monitor of the same size that I have had for several years in my three monitor set up. I have no complaints. The case is of high quality with all the edges and seams fitting correctly. I find this to be a good value for the money.

I replaced an older Acer monitor with this one when the old Acer decided to bite the dust. At the time, Amazon was offering a deal if I would take their credit card, so I did (and shredded the card immediately). I have a two-monitor system, and this one is a newer model than its mate, so they don't exactly match. The screen quality is far superior to the other on, so I may decide to buy another one soon. If so, that will be the first time for me to have two identical monitors on my desk. Pretty soon I may be eligible to apply for another Amazon credit card to reduce the net cost. I intend to do so (and shred the card, of course).

I've had this for at least a couple? years now, and it still works as good as on the first day. It gives me clear, sharp images (incl. text). The brightness is great, whether it is a sunny or gloomy day. The color is true. It is a different brand name than my computer, but a better price. I also bought an Acer with my last computer and it met all my needs, including great price.

I didn't think this newer model could beat the old Acer V223W* that I have used for a couple of years now, but it does (in initial quality anyway). Side by side, the picture is noticeably brighter. I'm not a gamer, so it is possible that the response times of these monitors would leave something to be desired in this arena, but for normal entertainment use, these mid-range Acer monitors are spectacular value for money - streets ahead of Dell and other manufacturers.All its other virtues are covered in the specs and other reviews.* incidentally for those looking to match a V223W monitor, this V226WL is not a perfect match, but you need to look very closely to 'notice' the differences.

I bought this to use as an external monitor with my MacBook Pro for photo editing. It works fine, the colors can be calibrated to match what will print, the resolution is good, and it has about half again the screen area (and pixels) of the laptop display. I set it up so it's beside the laptop screen, put the tool pallets on the laptop screen and the photo on this monitor. Works great.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it just won't work with either Mac in our house when it's hooked up as a VGA monitor. Works fine as DVI, which is a better idea anyway, but not VGA. I understand this is a known problem with Acer monitors, that they sometimes won't work properly with VGA. I would suggest ordering a Thunderbolt/mini display to DVI adapter at the same time as the monitor, they're only about $7 from Amazon. I didn't, thought I had one, had a VGA instead, which is how I found out about the problem. Had to wait a couple of days to get the DVI adapter.Again, the monitor works just fine, much better than I expected and just right for my use, photo editing, but potential buyers need to be aware of the VGA issue.

Stand on this monitor is too wobbly. It's going back.

We have 20 of these or so - they are a perfect match in appearance and resolution for the Dell 1680x1050 22 desktop monitors. Put one of these next to the original Dell on a dual stand and its a very good match. Note these monitors are brighter than the Dell's we have but with a little adjusting none of my users have had anything negative to say.

Had a little trouble setting the base up and it is a little wobbly but with my setup it works perfectly. The picture is decent for price.

This tv is an excellent option at an affordable price. Great for kids' rooms or any part of the house. Easy to set up and use. Love that everything is built-in and you can add any channels that you like. I skipped the roku registration as we do not use it and instead installed youtube for my son. that and Netflix are all we ever need. Would recommend this as it is affordable but of good quality.
