We have had this deep fryer for four and a half months and it works great we have had no problems with it whatsoever. I love the fact that the lid closes very tightly I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a great deep fryer to use in their kitchen, The suggested temperature on the front works great, It is very easy to clean

I hesitated between this model and the Hamilton Beach Deep Fryer with Cool Touch, 2-Liter Oil Capacity (35021). I decided to go with the T-fal as this model looked close to one that friends had (and I was very impressed by the results of fried fish). Bottom line for me: this unit is OK, does the job but not as practical as I thought (on second thought, would probably go for the other model). Here are the pros/cons:Pros:- easy to use, adjustable temperature with side reminder of what to use for veggies, fish, chicken and fries- magnetic power cord and folded basket handle allows compact storage- cool touch is fine (more like warm touch but no worries here)- the unit is light to carry (side has a place to hold and lift)Cons:- would have been nice to be able to lift the basket while the unit is closed (the handle folds but you cannot lift off the oil and need to open the top for hat)- I have a problem with cleaning - the unit is compact that is, after you remove basket and cover for a dishwasher clean result, the oil container forms one piece with the unit making it pretty inconvenient to clean. You need to bring the whole thing inside your sink and I do not like this at all.In short, the model works fine but for me, this is the cleaning issue is he biggest issue and I would go for the other model if I had to chose again ...

Replaced a very old 1600 Watt T- fal with this one. The power switch broke. It was quite old though and very scummy from all the old grease. This one cooks my french fries perfectly, in less time. I'm glad they stuck with the same design. It's very user friendly, from the way you raise the basket up to the new viewing window on top to the helpful temperature settings. The only thing this is missing is a timer, which we never used. Hope to get a lot of years out of this one also.

This is a great product. Compact, with a large enough basket to cook fries for everyone. The bottom screen keeps the old clean for a longer period. My only complaint is that the lid pops open spontaneously; not all the time, but enough so that I have to be aware. My wife is paranoid about these things, so this doesn't help. Having the magnetic head on the electrical plug does. Overall, a very good value.

The first time out, this fryer produced outstanding results! It's convenient and easy to use, has clear instructions and nice safety features. The only detractor is, (as far as I know) you can't remove the pot for emptying or cleaning; in order to empty it, one must pick up the entire fryer and pour out the oil. Otherwise, it's an excellent and highly recommended deep fryer!

The fryer works well to cook. But lid does not come off as described. I emailed company and they said to "refer to instructions". The instructions say it comes off but darn if I could figure out how from the illustration and directions were not clear. Asked company to clarify and again got the "refer to instructions". Guess they don't know either? I complained again and was offered a $10 rebate as a good will gesture. How nice except mailed the rebate in and got a letter stating the rebate did not apply to this appliance. Someone's laughing GOT YA! Alright, I'm stuck with it now. After using several times I really don't want to deal with the grease after frying. I can tell you getting the grease out is a pain in the back end. No real way to pour it out into a container. You have to dump it quickly to keep from clinging to the sides and spilling a good portion of the grease. I wind up getting about 80% in the container and the rest goes everywhere. Quite a clean up operation. And no, you cannot store grease in appliance it is not air tight. No more french fries for me:(

I love everything about that deep fryer. The size is perfect for us, we are 4 in the household. It heat up fast. Very easy to clean. I like the fact that we don't need to clean many pieces. It is a very good quality deep fryer and the price is good too! Just love it! The best one I had so far!

From the first use, the lid did not like to stay down. While the removable lid certainly makes cleaning easier, it never quite snapped properly in place, seemingly just a little to large for the slots it's supposed to fit into.Talking to T-Fal customer service, I was told, "Yeah, they do that," and given instructions for a laborious process of sending it back in for repairs that might not even fix it. Our last fryer was a T-Fal, but we've returned this and received a refund and will be looking elsewhere for a replacement. While the prices are better on Amazon, I want something I can hold in my hands and test out before I pay for it.Caveat emptor.

イカの天ぷらを揚げていて大火傷をした事があるので、何かいいものがないか探していて購入しました。レビューが無くて手探りでしたが、この手の同製品は評価が微妙な物が多く、購入に迷ったのであえて誰も買っていないこの製品をチョイスしてみました。並行輸入ですので心配でしたが、二重に梱包されていて一応配慮されていましたが、商品の箱は最初から潰れているところがありました。海外では中身に問題無ければ箱が潰れていても気にしない向きがあるので、梱包状態を考えれば良いと思いました。製品の大きさですが、かなり大きいです。ちょっとした電子レンジくらいの大きさがあります。コンパクトだとたくさん揚げられないので、ある程度は想定していましたが、ガスレンジの上で調理したら中程度の寸胴ぐらいの大きさはありました。油はかなり量がいりますので、いつもの天ぷら鍋のつもりでいたら驚くと思います。2Lくらいは最低用意しないとダメなようです。日本向けに用意されていたようで、電源プラグは日本のそれと同じタイプが同梱されていました。揚げ物の量ですが、中くらいのイカ2杯を一度に揚げられました。中に入れるざるに並べられる量が適切な量だと思います。フライドポテトだとかなりの量が揚げられそうです。温度は無段階で上げられるようですが、目安の温度表示が華氏と摂氏の両方で表示されています。ただ、今どれくらいの温度なのかわからないので、揚げ物用の温度計を使って温度を見る必要があります。180度に上がるまで15分くらいかかりました。揚げる時間はそんなにかからないので、20分くらいで揚げ終わりました。温度低下はほとんどないので、規定の量なら温度低下を気にしなくても良いし、設定した温度をキープするので、温度調節が難しいとは感じませんでした。衣がついた揚げ物は、先にザルに並べる手順のため天ぷらはザルに衣がくっついていましたが、食べる時に丸裸になる様な事は無かったです。電源プラグが本体にマグネットでくっつくタイプなので、引っ掛けてもプラグが外れる構造になっていますが、本体が軽いので実際には引っ掛けると本体も転がる可能性が高いと思いました。調理場所には注意が必要です。油を多く使うので、油をストックするのが大変なのと、ザルとその下にある油濾し網が手入れしにくいのはどの機種も同じかもしれないですが、欠点であると思います。また、最初に開封する時に油濾しの持ち手は開くタイプではないので、間違って開こうとしてもう少しで壊す所でした。イカを揚げる時の危険性を考えると、かなり危険度が減ったのでこれから安心してイカを揚げられます。いろいろと微妙な点はありますが、油ハネで危険な思いをしなくてよくなったので、一応満足です。追記:洗う時に気がつきましたが、ザルと油濾し網はスポンジで洗いにくいです。また、内釜が外れないので油を移し替える時にとても不便です。熱い油の時には特に注意して下さい。蓋も外れることがあるので、蓋を持って持ち上げるのも危険なので避けた方が良いです。内釜が外れないので、洗う時や油をストックする容器に移し替える時にとても不便です。T-falなのでとてもお洒落ですが、以上の事は注意して下さい。手で洗っても危険な箇所は少ないですが、食器洗い機へ入れて良いか微妙なので手洗いが無難でしょう。

This deep fryer is the kind I require: no elements in the oil as they make food (battered fish for which the wire basket must be removed) stick to those elements. The product works very well. It is quite hot, even on a low setting.The only drawback is that it is overpriced.
