I purchased this for the camera and card, primarily, and didn't mind having the extra perks in the package such as the telephoto lens. I discovered after purchase that the combinations weren't very well-thought out. For example, the telephoto lens that was included can technically attach to the front of the camera, but is clearly not meant to be used with the camera, since it creates a strange distortion of the picture with the inside of the lens visible when fully zoomed out, and an opposite distortion when fully zoomed in. The manual makes no mention of the ability to attach lenses, suggesting that wasn't ever intended by JVC. Also the card was from Transcend, but the JVC manual specifically recommends Panasonic, Toshiba or Sandisk, claiming that any other card may result in recording failure or data loss. So far it's been fine for HD material at 50Mbps, but i expect to encounter issues if I ever use it with 4k. All in all, it was a good deal for my needs and still worth a purchase again, but there might have been better options if I'd purchased just what I needed separately.
