Did some basic testing with voltmeter.Fully charged to 20.48v using a lithium charger dual battery version from dewalt. After sitting for a week they still were at 20.42v so to me that’s decent for self discharge over time.But based on the cells it has they are over-inflating the capacity ratings, however they are better than the ni-cd batteries I still have.They connect properly to the tools.

I waited for 7 months to write this to make sure the batteries still worked. They are still just like they were when I bought them. I use these batteries often and they still hold a long charge and I'm able to use all my Dewalt tools for as long if not longer than I did with the original Dewalt NiCd batteries. The power meter lets you know how much of a charge you have, something the Dewalt batteries didn't have.

purchased two (5.0Ah) in Oct but did not test them immediately. used one with the dewalt saws-all. worked great when it worked and the battery lasted longer than other batteries. Then the battery had an issue in Jan. I thought I was doing something wrong. The saw would run and then shutoff. after waiting a few seconds the saw would run and then die. The LED level light showed three bars. I timed the runtime of the saw. It ran 60-90 seconds before stopping. I then tried the battery in the dewalt flash light and it also died after 60-90 seconds. I turned the light off and on got same result. I can't do a project in 60 sec increments. Putting the battery on the dewalt charger does not fully charge the battery. as noted by other reviewers, the batteries do not easy fit into the charger.

One still working at 2-yrs. The other died at 18 months of occasional use. I'm just a DIY homeowner, so I don't use them often.

I ordered 2 of the batteries last year. One didn't last 4 months till it wouldn't charge. The second one made it to 6 months, it will recharge but doesn't last 2 min in reciprocating saw.I Don't Recommend!

I haven't had the batteries for a long period. We charged them upon arrival (they were mostly fully charged when received) and have used them for several small projects; worked flawlessly. I can't remark on longevity but I don't know why they wouldn't last. We are pleased so far and wouldn't hesitate to purchase again at this point of use.

It can be a confusing choice when shopping for a replacement rechargeable battery, but so far I'm very pleased with these Powilling 5.0Ah 18V DC9096 batteries. They are lithium ion batteries, lighter and apparently more powerful (based on my initial use in a cordless drill) than the originals. Each battery fits easily into my Dewalt charger, charges rapidly, and is easy to attach and remove from the drill. I like the indicator lights on the battery which show how much charge is left. I've not had these batteries long enough to determine how long they hold a charge or overall battery life, but I am so far very pleased.

Not a bad deal, these batteries actually fit & work. I am surprised for the price.
