Tyndale NLT Filament Bible (Hardcover Leather-Like, Black): Premium Bible with Access to Filament Bible App, Mobile Access to Study Notes, Devotionals, Video and More

One of my hobbies is reading and studying the Bible in different translations and formats, and I am blessed to have a variety of different types of Bibles at my fingertips. One of the most unique Bibles that I have had the pleasure of studying from is the Filament Bible.The Filament Bible is the NLT version (New Living Translation), which is very easy to read and understand. It is a single column Bible, and at first glance, looks pretty average. There are no study notes, pictures, charts, graphs, or any of the other features that one would expect to see in a study Bible. It is simply the Word of God, printed in a readable and uncluttered format. The Filament Bible comes in a cloth over hardcover format in either blue or gray, and a leatherlike black. I chose to purchase the leatherlike black version, and it appearsSo, what makes the Filament Bible so unique? The Bible comes with access to a free app called the Filament App. This can be downloaded to a phone or tablet. Each page of the Bible has a little cross symbol underneath the page number, and if you scan one of those crosses using the Filament app, it opens up a menu that you can view study notes, character profiles, book introductions, videos, and devotionals specific to the page that you scanned. So, you get a Bible that can easily be transported in your purse or backpack, and is easy to read with no distractions, but yet you still have access to all of the features of a thick study Bible (plus some!) on your personal device!I would highly recommend this Bible if you are in the market for a new Bible, and are stuck between whether to buy a study Bible, devotional Bible, life application Bible, or are just confused by all of the choices! This Bible truly has it all!

I have a lot of issues with prints being too bold for my eyes as I have eye issues. I can't even use the popular 'comfort print' as it's too bold for my eyes. This Bible has a perfectly sized, not too bold, font and I love it!Then there's the size of this Bible. Amazing. I have small hands and this Bible is comfortable for me to hold.The NLT was already my favorite translation to use, but I love how there's only one column of print on each page. Very easy to read.I am used to reading footnotes that are right there on each page, but the filament app is kind of fun to use. And easy to use. All in all, I highly recommend this Bible.

I love this little Bible. Every morning I read and listen to the app read, it's wonderful. The app is amazing and it's an incredible value! Buy it!

I like it!

This is such a great idea! I got it because I was needing a quality study Bible, and boy did I find it. First, the one negative I have is that Jesus's words are not in red. Ok, so all the positives! It is aesthetically easy to read. Not having two columns or the study material within the Bible helps a lot. The Bible is made quality and while the pages are thin, it's not frustratingly so. The app is a well of information. I have been reading through the Bible, and all this takes it to a whole new level. The NLT version is as easy to understand as reading any high school level book. I would recommend this to everyone. Would make a great gift for a youthful or really anyone.

I think that this Bible filament edition is just wonderful. I ordered one for my grandson and I was so impressed that I bought one for myself. The study notes were very good. I thought I knew a lot but the notes are in-depth beyond other study notes that I've seen and I have many Bibles. The maps are interactive. I found out a lot about the cities that Paul, Jesus, Peter and others were traveling through, and much more. The videos are good and so is the music and devotionals. I highly recommend the Bibles with the Filament app.

I love this bible it’s quickly becoming my fav and the app that comes with it is amazing.The Bible itself is large and kind of heavy. That’s my only complaint. I used to have a small leather bound bible that could fit in a small bag that i could take anywhere. I wouldn’t want to take this bible to the beach. It’s too nice for that and it’s not very portable. But i love that the writing is manuscript style so there aren’t multiple columns on the same page.The app is a valuable addition which should push the price of this bible up about $20-$30 dollars in my opinion. I’m a T on APEST so having a commentary, theme tool, maps, graphics, videos, all in one organized place about the very passage I’m reading is so helpful. I’d recommend this bible to any small group leader, pastor, bible study leader, or anyone who values going a little deeper. It’s so good and an unbeatable value for the price.

I will be returning this item because the app does not work. A friend suggested I get this because he loves it so I did. But the app will not work. I tried it on his phone and it would not even work on his phone even though he uses his phone for his own same bible. I tried contacting Tyndale publishing at requested info and no response. But to their credit is has only been a couple days. But I don't see how this will work so will be returning it.UPDATE 1/25/2021. I see the app was updated three days ago to fix a bug with the iPhone issue. But it appears it still does not work. Tyndale.....any ideas?UPDATE 1/26/2021. I contacted Amazon to see if they could contact Tyndale about the issue of not getting the app to work before I sent the Bible back. I have to say Amazon was so great in helping and immediately got me in touch with them. Kudo's to our amazing Amazon! And I can say the contact with the publisher was the upmost best response. They worked with me immediately to get a resolve and with in a day we had a fix. I couldn't be more pleased with the coordination with Amazon and the publisher Tyndale and their response to my issue. So I change this rating to a five star because it deserves it. I could of been an unhappy customer and just sent the Bible back but I wanted to try and find a resolve. So if this happens to you take the time to look into it because it will show you how well the seller is wanting or not wanting to help. In this case it was great and I would purchase this again.

Excellent Bibile

This may be the best Bible I have. It's clear and fresh single column layout is easy to read. There's plenty space if you like taking notes. I love the linked app - you can pause when you're reading and scan the page with your phone or tablet and access study notes, articles, devotionals, videos, interactive maps and diagrams, character profiles - and all linked to the page you scan (no more searching for that map or diagram!). Plus it's the New Living Translation so it's accurate and in modern English. This is the first Bible I have ever bought that had me thinking, "why did no one think of this before?". I cannot recommend this highly enough.

I love this Bible. Such a fantastic product. Portable - a fantastic size and access to study notes for the relevant passages at the click of a button.It doesn't seem to have References - but with a concordance, (which it has), it shouldn't be a problem.The paper is a good thickness - should take notes well.
