These little gems allowed me to put curtains over plantation blinds. The blinds come out about 2 inches (or a little more) and these extended made it possible to get a curtain rod around the top. They won't hold a bunch of weight, but I have room darkening curtains and they take the weight just fine.

Plastic pieces very easily break if you don't connect them properly. Probably won't buy this again.

Advice is to put on one piece at a time to achieve your desired length; difficult to take apart and sometimes the piece will break. Luckily I had purchased extra packages.

Don't buy these. Once you lock them together, there is no unlocking them without breaking the plastic hook part. Junk.
