Do this latch assist to be on while breast feeding

Hello Avani, thank you for your question. No, the LatchAssist is not worn during breastfeeding. The LatchAssist is used right before breastfeeding to help pull out flat or inverted nipples right before latching. We hope this helps.

Would you recommend this product or a breast shield?

Definitely recommend this over a nipple shield. The latch assist is little suction that you place over your nipple to help draw it out. A few pumps before you nurse is all you need and remove then place baby on. If you have flat nipples a “nipple shield” in my opinion did not help me at all. They don’t help draw out your nipple like the “latch assist”. I used this with my 3rd and wish I had this with my 1st! If you have flat nipples and don’t breastfeed babies back to back(have your next child close in age) then your nipples go back to being flat and you will have to experience the same flat nipple issue again and I’m glad I found the “nippleassit” bc this helped so much!
