HERSHEY'S Kisses Chocolate Candy with Almonds, 18 Ounce (Pack of 3)

Oh man, I love dark chocolate and this is a great way to keep portion control in place. My wife and I grab 2-3 pieces after dinner to give us sometime sweet and small in the evenings ... without going crazy. Saves a little money by buying in bulk too.

I combine these with Hershey's milk chocolate Kisses in my living room candy dish, and find myself replenishing these purple wrapped Kisses about three times more often than the silvers! They are a wonderful change of pace, and so many of our guests prefer these over any other chocolate, even the "gourmet" brands if dark chocolate candies. They are a pantry staple n our house!

alkalai (dutch) processing...so as far as taste goes..sweet enough for my 2 year old granddaughter.Not why I bought the dark chocolate.. Once darkchocolate goes through this processing ..most ofthe good healthy flavonoids are removed.

I was extremely reluctant to order chocolate from Amazon. I usually just go into the store and pick up a couple of bags. But since this was for my goddaughter's Sweet Sixteen and her party was in another state, this was a convenient option. And it worked. Since I'm a Prime member, I waited until the week of to order, and since the party was in the winter, I wasn't worried about the melting factor. A nice big bag that lasted really well through the whole party.

I gave these four stars as I feel like they don't taste as good as they used to. They don't have that dark chocolate taste. They still taste good, just not the same. They look great to leave out in a candy bowl and can be a snack.The family size bag is quite a good size and can last quite a while. The value size bags are a good value for the money.

EDIT: OK, I DID call as per the Hershey Company's comments. I am not wrong.This IS processed with alkali (alkali reduces flavonoids which is WHY I eat dark chocolate). A very nice lady DID suggest if I am looking for the health benefits of a dark chocolate NOT DUTCH (or alkali) processed, I look at the ECLIPSE EXTRA DARK CHOCOLATE BAR which is under the HERSHEY banner. I also see a DARK CHOCOLATE called ENDANGERED SPECIES that is NOT DUTCH PROCESSED. It looks like that has a slightly higher Cacao content than Eclipse.I will be checking out NON DUTCH PROCESSED DARK CHOC and will review as I get them. They're available here on Amazon along with other NON ALKALI processed dark chocolate._______________________________________________________________________________Sure, tastes fine, but if you're getting for the GREAT HEALTH BENEFITS....you may wish to rethink and get a different brand.I was getting this because of the health benefits of DARK CHOCOLATE. Personally, I prefer milk chocolate. I have gotten these many times as just a treat to keep on hand, thinking of the benefits I am getting.Then I did more research.....THESE are processed with ALKALI....It's also called DUTCH processing. Makes it tastes better, but also...GREATLY reduces the flavonoids which is why I am EATING it in the first place!To get the real health benefits, you need dark chocolate NOT PROCESSED with Alkali....

I have bought many, many things through Amazon and been happy with all my purchases until now. The chocolate had, unfortunately, melted and re-hardened while still in the bag. The chocolate had turned white and the texture was crumbly not appetizing at all. This was a subscribe and save purchase. 3 bags bundled together. All three had same date of Nov. 2016. Somewhere along the way the bags were left in a warm environment. I think I'll try the Oreos next time.

Nice large bags of dark chocolates. Not the kind of dark chocolate that is good for you but perfect for wedding gift bags that we made.. This is a big bag and they came just perfect. Not melted.
