Keep your phones and laptops safe with this certified charger
I've got nothing but good things to say about this charger. The first thing I love about it – and the main reason I bought it – is that it's USB-IF certified. Nekteck went to a LOT of time, trouble and expense to get this charger and its included C to C cable tested and USB-IF certified. Why does this matter? Well, a device that's USB-IF certified won't damage your equipment; it's that simple. A device that's been USB-IF certified has been through stringent tests, and guarantees your device won't get fried by poor quality charging components. Nekteck are also in the tiny minority of companies who have bothered to get their tech certified. I really mean this: I think they should be rewarded for putting their money where their mouth is. Type in 'USB-IF' in the product search box and see how few products come up. I wish every company that made after-market chargers would follow Nekteck's shining example. The second thing I love riffs off the first: its price. Despite being USB-IF certified, it costs no more than the many other inferior chargers available. The third thing I love is (with points one and two in the bag), it charges all my tech as fast as all the original chargers. I have a few Qualcomm QC3 chargeable devices that it charges at full pelt, a whole bunch of Apple and Android stuff that charges from USB at full speed, and my husband's Google laptop, which (so he tells me) charges at full 45W speed, same as the original charger. With several devices charging, the charger itself might get warm, but never hot.So if you're looking for a replacement, all-in-one charger to SAFELY charge every USB device you own, I highly recommend this device AND frankly, Nekteck in general.

Excellent USB C charger, works with Dell XPS13
This is an excellent, compact USB-C charger (with some USB-A thrown in for good measure). I bought it to replace a flakey Anker charger that kept throwing up slow charging warnings on my Dell XPS13 (and failed on me completely at one stage). The Nekteck is smaller, lighter and charges the XPS13 at 45 watts (I checked in the BIOS), vs. only 30 watts for the Anker. The 3ft USB C lead that came with it is also excellent - thick enough to be rated for 100 watts, but very flexible and supple. It connects to the mains via a standard figure of eight connector (regular UK lead provided) - I like this as you can swap the mains lead for travelling, and you're not limited by the location of an outlet which is a problem with chargers combined with the plug.Overall, I finally have a good single charger to take with me to charge my laptop, Chrombook and Pixel 2.

Solid kit, would buy again.
Have had it approximately 40 days and it has been dis- and re-connected to the mains a total of maybe 5 times and has otherwise been plugged in all the time.Mine powers a 2018 macbook pro while charging and running under load. Can charge phone at same time. Have no quick-charge devices at hand to try.Cables are sufficiently long for desk use with a power socket nearby.AC cable has a figure-8 connector so is easily replaceable with longer and don't have to worry about cable strain when packing.Usb-c cable feels robust though I haven't cut it to inspect the conductors and am relying on the accuracy of the claimed specs, USB-IF certification and it being shortlisted by The Wirecutter. The only practical detraction is the quiet buzzing hum noise when powering the macbook, though likely amplified by the wooden desk I have it on. Resting it on top of a paper notepad dulled it below what is noticeable. If it fails prematurely I will update this review.Update: 2020-06-10Failed today after 16 months, tripped a circuit breaker. I had originally registered with Nekteck's mailing list which extended the warranty by 6 months on top of the standard 12 months. After emailing NekTeck support (but before they could reply due to timezones) I also contacted Amazon customer support and got an advanced refund and return label.Just to note, Nekteck had excellent after-sales service and as it was under the extended warranty they were also happy to replace it once I took a video demonstrating it not charging. I also clarified that I was being refunded through Amazon.I'm using my original mac charger to work from home but would buy another Nekteck again.

Excellent PD / usb-c / usb-a multi charger - very happy
Bought this as replacement charger for one with a fixed american pin (which was unweildy when used with an adapter) - works great so far (few months in) and has been used to charge a Chromebook, Samsung note 9, Nintendo switch using usb-c and various other mobiles, bluetooth speakers, cycle lights, fitness bands etc through the usb-a connection. Charging has been fast (the chromebook has reported "slow charger" on other usb-c chargers but with this one there has been no issues which means the "PD" piece works) and there has been no major heat issue.Really long usb-c cable means you can use the device while charging (than be tied to the wall). The standard "figure 8" lead instead of a captive lead means I can carry this with me while travelling and swap out to a local lead (say US or European pin) instead of struggling with adapters. Excellent buy after 3 months - hope it continues for a few years...

Works great on a 13inch MBP
Bought this to use as a central charger for my 2017 MBP 13inch, and also headphones, iPhone etc. Works great. One feature I like is that it seems to quick-charge my iPhone if I plug that into the USB-C port. I managed to drop it on to concrete from about a meter high and the plastic came off, but I glued it back together and it's been solid since, so it seems pretty well built internally. If I lost it, I'd buy the same model again in a heartbeat. I do a lot of travelling so it's helpful that the part that connects it to the mains is a standard figure-of-eight, so I can just swap out the lead whenever I go somewhere that uses a different plug type for a long time.
