Useful little tools
These are great picks for all sorts of tasks. I mainly use them for automotive seals & o-rings, and they also work great for when I clean my electronic cigarette and replace the o-rings. Originally I bought them for picking my safe lock that broke, but they didn’t really do the trick. Regardless these are some useful tools for odd jobs. Only down side I’d say these have is the picks bend somewhat easily, but that can sometimes come in handy if i need to change the angle of picking.

Good Value - Recommended
This IIT 21600 Double End Pick Set is acceptable quality for the low selling price. The set contains four double-ended picks and they are quite useful for cleaning gunk out of nooks and carnies in delicate mechanisms. These work as expected!Recommended!CFH

Careful
This is what I use to get out that one little spot of carbon in the chamber or flake of brass on the bolt face that I just can't quite reach with anything else. They are obviously not surgical steel, but should last a while. These things are scary sharp, almost like a hypodermic needle.

You aren't paying much so you aren't expecting much. The problem with these is that the metal used for the picks is pliable such that they bend, rather than holding their shape. Because of this property, you are unable to maintain a reasonable amount of pressure yet spend more time bending them back into shape. I also have to mention that the tips of these are slightly hooked because they are too sharp, which causes just as many problems as their bending.

These are great tools for cleaning and repairing machines, not dental instruments
Don't try cleaning your teeth with these. They are designed for removing o-rings/ c-rings and other hardware from small parts. They are designed to scrape crud out of crevices in devices. They work great for that purpose! As metal parts, they will scratch very soft metals and plastics, so be careful with those. However, they stand up well considering the cost. They are not quite as nice as using dental instruments to pluck out your o-rings, but then again you can't buy one quality dental pick for the cost of multiple sets of these.

Future Bank Robber
If you think you can rob a bank with this set, think again!I know these are used for more than picking locks but I bought these at the time I decided that picking locks would be a fun hobby. That lasted for about a week. I'll save these incase my next venture is to be a dentist. All kidding aside, this is a pretty durable set of picks.

Great cheap picks. A C&R must!
If the term C&R and/or cosmoline means anything to you, you've made it to the right product. These picks get into every nook and cranny, crevice, tight spot and hiding place for gunk to hide. And you never have to worry about breaking, because it's NOT PLASTIC like other, more expensive picks that will, with a little tension. If you're worried about scratching some bluing, buy Vans instant blue, and frog lube! It's all you'll ever need. Been doing this a while and speak from experience.
