Fix it, don't buy another sander!
This Dewalt sander is a beast. It must be 7 years old. The foam material in the sanding pad finally just dried out and began to break down. Finally it was toast and a big portion broke off. The replacement pad goes on very easy and it is far more economical to fix it than buy new. Very happy. Works great. I own a commercial wood shop and we work our tools hard.

Fit my Dewalt sander perfectly
The first time having to replace a backing pad for my sander, short term it has worked just fine, the devil is how long will it last, seems similar quality to the original backing pad.

10 minute job
Took about 10 mins to install on a HF sander because you have to drill a slightly larger hole in another position for the HF spacing pattern. Just take your old HF pad off, align it with the new one (spin the new one so you're not drilling in the same location as the holes that are in the new one) and use the old pad as a guide. At the end you'll have 4 new holes (the ones you just drilled using the old pad as a template /guide) that fit your HF sander and 4 holes (wrong spaching for HF sanders_ that were already in the new pad. Tighten the screws and slap a disc on it. At first the disc won't be perfectly flat but after a few minutes of sanding on a scrap piece it'll flatten the pad out. Done.

Won't hold sanding disk secure
The hook and loop on this thing is pathetic. It wouldn't hold onto the sanding pad to save its life. I wanted this to work because of the price but I guess you get what you pay for.
