Reasonably priced, brightness and clarity seem to meet OEM bulb. Now the clock ticks and hoping that the bulb life meets the original OEM bulb. Installation was relatively straightforward, but with a ceiling mounted projector does take some time and patience. Otherwise, installation would be a lot easier. Remember to also clean your lense at the same time and dust the fan intake to improve clarity and keep the fan at its optimum functionality. All good for now.

Seemed to work great at first but no longer functions just a few months later and only a handful of users

Bulb burned out and I originally ordered another brand. When I installed that brand the bulb just flickered and my projector would turn off. This bulb was a bit more expensive BUT is bright and works no problem. Easy to install and the projector is back up and working again. I got about 6,000 hours out of my OEM bulb, hoping to get close with this one. So far so good!

The color seams a bit more brilliant than the original, and I wasn’t really excited about that, but I think it might have a brake in period because I don’t notice it anymore. Colors look true.

I've used this exact bulb as a replacement for my GT1080 and just got another one as a backup spare. The bulb itself fits perfectly and the projector operates as it should. However, there are some things to consider.First, you get what you pay for. This comes in at about half of the price of the bulb directly from the OEM. This doesn't mean the projector won't produce a decent image. It just won't produce the same image from day 1. However, this may not be due to just the bulb. My GT1080, after troubleshooting it myself, had problems with the color wheel. I highly recommend, when replacing the bulb, to do your best to clean out the dust, debris, and if you can, make sure all internal wiring and their heat tape is secure. The inside of these projectors get extremely hot and could melt parts of the plastic inside. This is often blamed on the bulb when there are other factors at work.Lastly, the bulb works. Treat the projector like a fragile crystal and it should last years easily. The bulbs are pricey. Keep the internals clean and pay attention to the other components. When installing this bulb, do so with gloves so you don't add oil to the lamp lens. Overall, the best option out there besides getting a new projector or trying to get a new bulb directly from the OEM.

After taking the Orginal bulb out, it fit easily in but the plug would "not lock" in or was loose. Clearly different plug head but there was a slot to show the grooves. Placing the plug it when powering on there was a electrical burnt smell that was noticed and after reopening and inspecting. The plug is no longer loose and will not remove. Meaning next time I need to replace the bulb I will have to cut the cord. Op-GT 1080 owner. Burning smell continued before having to cut it off my connection. Now my unit needs a new bulb and a new bulb connection.returned

The bulb was replacing a failed OEM lamp in my Optoma HD26 - which failed spectacularly, like a gunshot in the living room.This bulb was a direct fit, good instructions included in the box lead to no issues with installation.Positive overall, would buy again.

I'm using this projector as a back up so I got a bit cheep and the price is appealing , but it;s set the projector back decades. The letters are not crisp, like I need reading glasses. It's a very dark lamp so hard to see detail on any show that's at all dark, and forget about the 3D thats like watching a moving black wall.
