Amazing freatures but Roccat still has a bit to learn.
Pro:---The per-key lighting is amazing---Being able to reassign every key or give them macros is amazing---Easy-Shift is amazing---The thumb macro keys... well, they'll probably be amazing once I find a use for them. Right now I'm using them as previous, play/pause, next in windows and I haven't decided what they'll be on game profiles... probably some hard to reach keys or macros or something...---It really has NKRO... I pressed like all the keys at the same time and they all registered lol.--All the keys are mechanical - there aren't any metal springs/supports to mess with when taking off the keys and putting on o-rings.Cons:---The wrist rest doesn't lay flush against the desk, it's about 1/2 inch off it, so it kinda hurts my right wrist when typing. I had to roll up a paper towel and put it under it to give the final support between the rest and my desk. Not ideal.---The num lock & scroll lock lights are blindingly bright and aren't affected by lighting settings. I REALLY hope they release a firmware update or something that fixes this.---Needs 2 USB plugs, but I knew that.---The bottom row of keys all have an upward angle rather than downward slope so your thumb is constantly hitting a sharp edge and it kinda hurts your thumb. You can take the space bar off and put it on upside down; it'll make the lightning not work and look a little funny but the slope will be good and it's a decent workaround.---The super glossy finish across the entire face of the keyboard is a bit distracting.---Only blue lights. It'd have been cool if there were like red & green lights as well that you could choose per-key. It's still pretty cool either way though.Overall the keyboard has a ton of amazing features but there are a few design flaws that shows that Roccat still has a bit to learn about keyboard design. The wrist rest and space bar slope should have been common sense but somehow it was missed.I went with CherryMX Red switches, the o-rings I installed were 40A-L 0.2mm from WASD Keyboards, and I used their keycap puller as well. It's my first time using a mechanical keyboard other than going to a store and trying out all the switch types before making my purchase decision and to be honest I'd probably like the keyboard just as much if it were rubber dome. It's not a big selling point for me personally.I was able to purchase the keyboard for $142 rather than $169 when it first became available otherwise I probably wouldn't have ended up buying it since I was pretty on the fence about it. My decision was between this and the Razer Anansi, but Razer has such shoddy hardware reviews and if you check the Anansi over half of the ratings are all super negative about how it breaks, has sticky keys, etc. Roccat was the better choice for a piece of hardware that is going to be reliable and not break on me.The reason I decided to even get a new keyboard were thumb macro keys though. I wanted them ever since I saw the Anansi, and that was a big dilemma for me since the Anansi has 7 and this only has 3. I essentially had to weigh the very poor ratings and reputation over a higher price for something reliable. I'd tried the other switch types, including black, and I didn't care for them. Black, I couldn't even feel a difference between them and rubber dome personally so I didn't think it'd be worth it with a mechanical unless it were red, for me. That's the only reason I opted for the Pro rather than the standard model, which would have been totally fine if they'd had different switch offerings; I don't really care about the per key lighting, USB hub, or mic/headset hub. The only reason I went with Pro over the lower versions was so I could choose my switch type.I could have went with a Roccat Isku which has dedicated multimedia keys, Easy-Shift, and 3 thumb macro keys, but with it being rubber dome and my current (at the time of making my decision) keyboard being a Logitech G11 I didn't think a rubber dome with only 3 thumb macro keys would be worth it. I'd actually decided I'd just wait for someone more reputable for rock solid reliable hardware like Logitech to make their own version of the Anansi with the 7 thumb macro keys and I'd just get that. I wanted a Razer Naga for years but I put it off because of all the shoddy reviews and word of mouth and Logitech finally made a clone of it, their G600 here just recently, so I was hoping for the same. But it'd take years for that...I'd finally reached my decision that, especially since I'd thought this would come out on Nov 18th and the date just kept getting pushed back further and further and I was getting frustrated. I'd actually been waiting for this specific keyboard and fangirling over it for well over a year. So anyways, I decided that I'd do as described above on the day this became available - a few hours before it did in fact, which was super ironic! But, with the $30 lower price I couldn't pass it up. That was enough to convince me to go ahead and purchase, and here I am.

Phenomenal keyboard with an INSANE amount of customization capabilities.
I have had this keyboard for a good month now and I'd have to say I do love this keyboard very dearly. Before this keyboard I had a crappy hp keyboard worth maybe $12 that I got for free. So, as you may imagine, the transition from standard layout to mechanical was pretty abrupt. Before I ordered this keyboard I knew that the transition would be rough and that at one point (from what other people have said) I might even hate mechanical keyboards but in the long run it would be well worth the buy. When I first opened the package and saw the box I knew it was going to be high quality. As I pulled out the keyboard and felt the keys I was totally surprised. They felt extremely weird and light. I had totally pictured them a different way. The keyboard itself felt very sturdy and seemed like it could last at least 10 years. After plugging it in I downloaded the drivers and software for the keyboard. Do note that the keyboard needs to use two USB (2.0) ports to function properly. Right off the bat, the keyboard wasn't lighting up properly but after restarting my computer everything was fine. The program itself was kind of weird when I first tried it out. Unfortunately there is no tutorial and no YouTube videos (as of now) on setting up the keyboard to your liking. It took me about three days of tinkering to finally get the basics of the software down. To this day, I still feel like I don't understand the software completely. I understand maybe 75% of it now like how to create macros, arrange the key bindings, assign secondary key functions, etc. But I wish ultimately Roccat included a tutorial on how to set it up. As of now, I feel pretty comfortable with the keyboard but not fully. Since the keys are slightly smaller than my previous keyboard I sometimes accidentally hit another key which forces me to go back and correct it. Having smaller keys though can be a great pro because once your used to it it can improve your precision and time between reaching for keys in a game.Anyway, here is my insight on each feature:Keys:Smaller than normal (unless I had a big-keyed keyboard originally). Some are angled slightly like the shift key which do feel way better when gaming. They feel very secure and light which is what I was looking for.Lights:Can vary in brightness. Personally, I keep mine at medium high.Software:Tricky, but once understood it enables thousands of possibilities. A great feature is the ability to switch from five profiles at anytime. I have a profile for gaming (only the keys I use light up), typing (all keys light up), All dark (no lights), and the others I haven't really used (yet). Additionally, for some passwords I made an LED macro that quickly lights up all the letters in order which is pretty cool. Oh, and btw, the software allows you to assign secondary functions to every key. For example, once you hold the easy shift key (which can be assigned to any key as well) you can press z which will trigger a macro (that you have to make) to delete or go back (CTRL Z). As you may imagine, the possibilities are almost uncountable.Material/feel:Made entirely of hardcore plastic with some rubber padding. Does not feel like it will break anytime soon. Even the stands on the back feel totally tough. Personally I like my keyboard angled so I do use the stands. Some parts of the keyboard have a gloss finish like on the logo. The gloss doesn't really attract fingerprints so that's nice. The hand rest is perfect and my hands to not slide off even if there sweaty.Final Verdict:Highly recommended! Germans seem to always make good stuff.Pros:-per key lighting-an abundance of customization possibilities-extremely sturdy, no flimsiness whatsoever-secondary key functions-smaller keys? (pro and con)-mechanical-box looks very professional-five profiles to switch through instantaneously-sports two USB 2.0 hubs and microphone and headset jackCons:-the USB ports lack power and can only handle flash drives. Won't work well with phones or other power thirsty devices.-software is tricky and can be hard to understand-I wish a keyboard at this price included some metal parts. (externally)-wish the keys sported the ability to change any color.-personally wish the lights had a glow like the Corsair K70/K95.Notes:- A lot of people complained about the enter key looking hideous. On the US version it is completely normal it is not fat and huge.- Thumbster keys are not mechanical but in the end it doesn't really matter.- I have my keyboard resting on a Razer Goliathus extended speed edition mat. It fits perfectly and increases the immobility of the keyboard.

Good gaming keyboard - but pretty bulky
I've had this keyboard for almost 5 years now and its served me well. It's also taught me a lot about what my next keyboard purchase should be, when that time comes. This keyboard is LARGE and takes up a good amount of space on your table. The wrist rest, which isn't detachable doesn't help with this problem. The keys themselves are great (I chose Cherry MX reds, linear), although a few of the LEDs have failed, which is expected after a while. The software feels like it was designed for Windows 7, even though this keyboard was around when Windows 10 was out for a while. The software isn't bad, but the fact that it doesn't update the drivers and firmware (it only shows what the latest ones are) and requires you to got to ROCCAT's website to actually get them is a tad annoying. The board also features jacks for audio and a microphone as well as two USB port, but I didn't use them much. The build quality is good and the keyboard has a good weight to it even though it is completely plastic. Overall, it has served me well, but I would only recommend it if you really want a large keyboard with a few extra I/O ports (plus the price is pretty steep).

LEDs repeatedly died.
I was really happy with this at first, but the LEDs just died one at a time. I do not eat at my computer, I drink out of a water bottle that does not sit on my desk, and nothing has been spilled on it. Other than that, the features are great. The powered USB is helpful, and the keys themselves feel awesome. It's helpful that it has its own audio in and out on it too.But the LEDs killed it for me. I can't game in the dark anymore. It's such a shame because it's an otherwise great keyboard.

Good product terrible warranty.
Works fine, I had 2 LED's go out within 6 months, manufacture warranty policy is not good at all. They require you to send the keyboard out before sending the new one, They will not hold credit card against it and you will also pay shipping both ways.

Superb mechanical keyboard
Excellent choice for mech keyboard. I was looking keyb with audio plugins and usb hub. It is kind of heavy, and doesn't has many additional keys (only 5, M1 - M5 on left side). Using linux and there is roccat software where you can configure keyboard. Win has better UI for the same software.
