This is a great phone for an elderly person. My mom only has the use of one hand, so a flip phone is difficult for her to open and a Smartphone is too confusing for her. This phone was perfect, with a large view screen, large numbers, and even an easy access flashlight. HOWEVER, it's a 3G phone and most towers will not accommodate 3G in a few months. The description says it will work with Consumer Cellular, but CC uses AT&T and T-Mobile towers, so whatever will not work with AT&T or T-Mobile will not work with Consumer Cellular. I hope they make this same phone in a 5G very soon.

I am a little surprised that there doesn't seem to be many "senior phone" choices on the market. I mean we all have (or have had) grandparents/etc. and we all know it is painful to watch them try to fumble with technology.My uncle gave up on his, and this meant he never brought it with him, and THIS meant he would sometimes leave home, get lost on the subways, and just be gone until late at night (he's 87) while everyone wondered where the guy was.The Easyphone takes a little time to set up right, and I have to admit I doubted that the GPS tracking feature of the Pinnie Talkie app was going to work (There is nothing on the phone that suggests a data connection, aside from a rudimentary browser which wasn't working on the Sim I bought).But I tested everything, and all of it seems to work.My uncle's family is very happy that he can still have his freedom, get around a bit, and still be in touch... and he has a way to let us know if there's ever any trouble, through the SOS button.

I used to have a flip phone when I wanted limit on cell phone use but still need to be reachable. But it frustrated me to type with the old keyboard. This phone is great because the communication app allow you to send voice message and location information to smart phones yet still very minimalist in functions. The app functions very well, and was pretty easy to use. For the smart phone version, just download the app and add friends. The only downside is that battery life is pretty average.

It's a good phone for senior. Only problem is the docking station doesn't always charge the phone.

Bought this phone for Christmas for my mom who has macular degeneration and she is able to use with ease but after 1 day the power button is not working properly. She has to try it 4 or 5 times before it will work. Very frustrating for her!! I am going to return and exchange for a different one and hope the power button was just a fluke due to the fact that this was the first phone she has been able to see good enough. I was happy until she called me and told me that and she only had it one day!

My dad is getting older and more forgetful with time so I got this cell phone for him. The big buttons are perfect for him because his vision is getting worse and I love the docking station for charging. The GPS positioning is great too because I can track him wherever he is. Is this not a top of the line phone but that's fine, it doesnt have to be. Its geared more towards kids or the elderly.

It is the most difficult phone to program contacts name & phone numbers into. The instructions aren’t helpful either. From the get go, don’t know how but my Dad would silence the phone completely & we couldn’t figure out how to turn the volume, ringer or vibrate back on. It was frustrating working on figuring out how to add contacts and turn ringer on. Purchased the warranty & 4 months after the purchase the battery or chargers weren’t working, or worked intermittently. Contacted the warranty reps & they said it’s not in effect until the manufacturing warranty expires & they couldn’t tell me how to contact the manufacturer. Directed me to find out by internet research. Still have the phone service activated for it but it’s more or less a toy for my Dad to play with. I don’t recommend this phone at all for seniors or elders.

Bought it for my Dad, numbers are raised very helpful for him vision is poor. Programing speed dial is GREAT, push number and hold one step not like other phones.

Sad that this is what is called "Big Button" "Senior" phone.. really would be nice to have a darn phone that was about 3 times this size.. buttons are tiny.. Elderly people lose the ability to target easily.. make a phone that they can actually press the buttons on.. and the display should be again much bigger.. ok rant over..As there are no decent LARGE button phones.. least this one actually has buttons.. so it ahead of many things and older people can use it.. its hard to hold its still so small..We are having issues that when user calls out about 75% of the time we need to hang up and better if we call back.. kind of seems to be working.. but garbled sound..Then I am running into another strange issue.. twice now the phone has managed to get itself onto Silent, no ringing.. I had to call nursing station to go advise the user to check the phone.. only way to bring sounds back is thru menu in settings.. so not sure how they are getting turned off.. just makes for very unreliable phone.. I like the way it works.. would be better with a few dedicated 1 press quick dial buttons and make those buttons bigger than what this is.. I had a phone for this user with 3 memory buttons.. but that phone had other issues.. it was a flip.. ok.. but so smooth hard for senior hands to get it open.. and fragile hinge damaged easily.. and last issue on that one was the inability to control ring volume.. no matter what setting I did .. always rang super loud..Seems some people are having better luck with this phone than I have had.. like I say.. when it works.. its not bad..

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  First week after receiving I was still using both, but now I switched to this phone completely.Simple phone with smart features. Calling and texting no problem, big buttons - easy to type short messages.Pretty loud speaker, so I don't miss the calls.The charging dock is very useful, while the phone is charging the screen turns on every few minutes, so I can see the time and notifications if there are any came while I was away. The longest time without charging for me was 4 days.Special application for exchanging voice and text messages is working, there were no issues.I even went for short hiking few times, the step counter is pretty accurate. The maximum difference I had is in range from 120 to 150 steps.The phone lock button on the side, sometimes it accidentally unlocks when I carry it in my pocket. I start check the phone more often because of it.

I bought this phone to my dad who is 70 years old. It is a simple phone and very easy to use. He loves using it.The few things of this phone which we liked are:- It is very easy to use; big numbers are easy to read and call & text- It has got a simple design with smart features like step counter , GPS tracking and so on- Easy to track my dad's location with GPS function. I can check where he is.- It has got a long battery life which lasted about 5 days use. It is easy to charge with the provided charger dock as well- Most importantly I liked the ability of sending remote voice reminders to my dad for his doctors' appointment and others..Only one thing, the price is a bit higher than other normal handset otherwise it is a nice phone for seniors. I am very happy with this purchase and I certainly recommend this one.

Works great. Who says cell phones have to be expensive. If you are looking for basic functionality then this is it. It makes calls, the reception is clear.For less than $100 I am extremely impressed. It has large buttons which is great for people who may struggle with today's tiny touchscreen keyboards.Also since this phone is unlocked it allows you to shop around for a bring your own phone plan. This gives you loads of options at very affordable prices.If you are looking for an affordable phone that is super easy to use and one that you can put on a plan that won't break the bank then this is it. Great value.

The product though it looked and generally seemed to be as advertised, The device would not charge properly in the cradle. The GPS tracker also did not work. It showed the location of the phone as being several continents away from where it actually was. Given that this device was purchased for the security and convenience of a senior person, I am less than impressed with this product.
