Brilliant device with neat little features
Really pleased with this well thought out rain gauge. Sizeable (5 inch diameter) funnel and very deep too and has even a removable filter at the bottom to keep leaves out. Useful to have the temperature/humidity sensor separate, so can be kept out of direct sunlight, unlike some other devices. Set up is easy enough. The little handbook can appear a bit daunting at first but following instructions is no rocket science. The dewpoint is a useful feature if one has a little background knowledge. As others have commented, the background lighting is not brilliant but tolerable. Would highly recommend this rain gauge!Edit: Forgot to mention another big advantage of this system which is that thanks to its modular design almost all parts are available for replacement of faulty ones and for the indoor console a mains adapter is available too, saving on battery consumption. Automatic midnight reset of max/min can be turned off by setting to 'Total' which allows manual clearance whenever it's wanted. That way no data get lost. As for accuracy, time will tell but I have no reason to suspect notable discrepancies. Moreover, it is even possible to calibrate temperature and humidity but that would require the presence of a precise reference instrument. Almost unbelievable to have all those features in a device of that price range - well done Metcheck!!!

Well Made with plenty of features
This is my fourth rain gauge due to the previous ones failing due to water ingress. This one looks better made and should be more accurate because of the depth of the cone. I do have one niggle, it zero's at midnight, which means you loose the previous days rainfall total. It is possible to work it out by recording the total figure when you go to bed and checking it again the next morning and knocking of the current days total. As I say there is a way of doing it but a faff. All of my previous rain gauges have held a rolling 8 day daily total in the history memory. I have spoken to climeMET about this and they are now aware of the issue. .

Excellent weather station
I had owned the previous ClimeMet station / equivalent since about 2005, at which point it packed up. The new one is detailked, relatively easy to set up and seems pretty accurate. Excellent so far!

Accurate and reliable
I've been an amateur meteorologist for 50+ years, and I depend on good instruments for daily records. So when my 6 year-old ClimeMet rain gauge 'died' this summer (due to prolonged days of 48°C heat probably!), I chose the same brand for a replacement. The dew point calculator is a good feature , helps to predict the formation of fog, or whether rain will turn to snow (using the data with a little knowledge on the subject of course!). Overall, I highly recommend the CM7015!

This rain gauge is so reliable.
Instructions easy to understand and installation a breeze

Easy to set up
Easy enough to set up - but a shame it didn't come with the 10 AAA batteries that are needed to make it work. A shame the rainfall gauge is quite so 'bright white' - a more natural colour would hide it better in the garden.I don't understand the units of measurement beside the history graph - none of which is explained in the instruction manual.Other than that, it's fun to sit indoors and know just how cold it really is outside!

Far too complicated, difficult to set up and rain gauge is much too obtrusive.
The outside temperature readings from the sensor are seldom the same as those shown by the console (3 or 4 degrees difference). It is a nightmare to set up. It contains too much useless information . For instance, who cares what the dew point is ? Previous offerings by this company have been good but they seem to have lost the plot on this one.

A user's rain gauge.
A substantial bit of kit obviously constructed with the user in mind and from experience. Having had various rain gauges over the years with varying success, this one looks to be the business. Time will tell.
