Steel push plates on the end of the screws fell off when removing the tree. Husband had to put them back on with lecture. Be sure to keep water level below the holes where the screws go into the holder. Water leaked all over the wooden stand and I didn't notice until I took the tree down. User error but now I have to refinish the top. Also screws detract from the cute little base. Covered them up with a table scarf. Kind of defeated the purpose of buying it in the first place.

For smaller trees classy look.

Unfortunately, the diameter is too narrow for standard Christmas trees to properly fit. Consider widening the base by 1.5” and then this would be an outstanding product.

I guess I should have measured the tree I bought’s diameter. My tree was maybe 6 ft and it’s trunk was way too big for this stand. I had to shave almost half the size of the stump to make it fit. This is way smaller than it looks in the pictures.
