Slow starters, but they really take off with time. I think they look really cool!

Although it is indeed cordyceps, I can't rate it highly. I followed instructions precisely and was extra cautious to avoid contamination. Initially everything was looking fine. When the fruiting bodies started appearing, they we deformed and were growing much slower than expected. But the main problem is that there is white mold appearing on the fruiting bodies. It looks like the parasitic white mold that reveals itself only in the end of the fruiting body development. A month after that, also a green mold appeared on top.

Buying more, these are great looking, fast growing and easy for new or younger mycologists interested in SCIENCE and amazing NATURERAL World of Mycology.

Its super easy to get started so you can just sit back and watch without much effort at all. Its so nice walking through and seeing the progress it makes each day. I will certainly be getting more kits!

It was a good experience to learn how to grow

Very easy to grow. It's very small however so don't expect a ton of mushrooms on harvest. It's the circumference of like a 1L bottle

I used part of the liquid culture to attempt to cultivate more cordycepts into different jars, but was unsuccessful. The original one was the only successful one. So far it’s doing great, and exactly like the photos.

This cake was much smaller than advertised, which is the main reason I'm giving it a low rating. Also the growth habit was not right, it was curling which caused even fewer mushrooms to grow. Don't mind how dried out they look, that one is on me for waiting too long to harvest.
