Cute and used it for a Halloween costume!

I wanted to find an awesome steampunk corset to wear under my dress for a night out with my husband. He didn’t know I had ordered it and definitely had no idea I was wearing it.My dress has a center zipper from top to bottom so when we got back home to the bedroom, I shocked him when I stood up during an intense make out session and watched with amazement while I unzipped my dress.I’ll never forget the look on his face when he saw me in a corset, thigh highs and a garter belt. He wasn’t controllable after seeing me like that.I love this corset for many reasons, the lace up back comes with super long laces so you can take it out as much as you need (I’m a size 20 with big twins), and it smoothes out the rolls and gives you a beautiful physique in a little black dress.I especially loved how you can keep the laces tied in place with no need to untie them again because the latches on the front open and close - allowing you to remove this corset from the front. So awesome!The only bummer was it kept sliding down a little bit on me and I had to pull it up a couple of times. I’m assuming because this was my first time wearing this one it stretched out a bit throughout the evening.To my fellow plus size ladies - YOU MUST HAVE THIS CORSET in your collection. So beautiful, sexy and fun - you won’t regret it!

This looks great even if to the touch it's obviously costume quality. The "leather accents" are thin and delicate. However, it's a costume piece that I'll be wearing once to a ren-faire. Generally speaking, 5 stars for the costume-quality corset.Sizing is the hardest part for which they lost a star - although I suspect their main problem is that they have several different options using the same sizing chart. I bought the Brown-8110, which has a 6" modesty panel under the ties in the back. Thus, there is a much greater range in measurements for each size than indicated.My measurements are bust: 41" and waist: 38" - so based on the size chart I was somewhere between a 2X (bust fit 40-42) and 5x (waist fit 38-39). Since all the reviews said to size up I went for the 5x. That was way too big in the bust even with the ties pulled completely tight. With the large modesty panel on the back the actual measurements of the 5x were about 46-50 for the bust and 38-43 for the waist (I've attached a photo with me stuffing a pillow in it to get these measurements).I then went and ordered the 2X. With it loosened to the widest setting (and with a bit of a sucking it in) I can fit 37" at the waist. Once latched it's fairly comfy and seems wearable (sufficient structure and strength to shift the fat rolls around). I even used those leather straps details to hold a skirt tie and a rather heavy pouch, and both surprisingly survived that abuse. It was universally agreed that the latches made it MUCH easier to put on versus the typical closures on a corset. It survived a ton of walking and the eating of a turkey leg without issues. I didn't wear it for the long car ride there since it pinched at the waist a bit when sitting.

This isn’t a real corset in any way shape or form but it did the job of looking like one. It’s so flimsy it was almost uncomfortable, I thought it might fall apart on me. It’s good for a one time wear costume.

Edit: I took a star away because after only two days of wearing this thing, a seam popped at the bottom, causing one of the plastic bones to start coming out.I have to wear corsets for back support. I can't get through a work shift without one.This is a nice and sturdy(edit: not really) corset, which is what I was looking for(my normal waist-trainer corsets always ride up, which caused more pain than support). The only issue I have is how high this underbust corset sits. It's rather uncomfortable support for my chest.Also, for some reason, my normal size corset is usually XL, with the same measurements as this listing's XL, but I had to return my first purchase and buy a 4XL. I am just barely overweight, so it's weird how big the size difference is compared to other sellers.Edit of an Edit: My second corset arrived reeking of sewage. I don't know why, but it's awfully unpleasant considering I have to wash it by hand. It's going to take a while to get the smell out.Edit of an edit of an edit: Not much later, my grey corset still reeks, and it is impossible to get the smell out, and is starting to fall apart after wearing it only a few times.Meanwhile my black corset has completely fallen apart and is barely wearable from light use. We're talking steel bones popping out of seams and poking me, steel bones falling out completely, the fabric tearing around the fastener, making it nearly inpossible to wear or keep closed. I do wear this abit, but it's been such a short timespan, and such gentle use that it's absolutely flabbergasting how blatantly cheap this was made.And it's clearly not just color or size options that make the corset, as my bigger, grey corset is starting to have the exact same problem.Also dicovered, as mentioned above, they are NOT plastic bones, they are steel.Edit ×like 5: Turns out, the grey corset? Smells like sewage? Yeah, THAT one has plastic bones.There isn't even consistency with quality control at this point.

Super great fit! The bowing in the back started to pin me towards the end of the day but it was very well made! Highly recommend!
