Fold-n-Go Seat Cushion

This cushion is amazing! I use it in the car, at the kitchen table, and sometime in my home office. I plan on bringing it to a picnic area that has cement benches, too. I accidentally left it in my car when it was 91 degrees F that day. Per the directions, if you do this, you're not suppose to use it until you turn on the air conditioning for at least 30 minutes. However, I made sure it was melted or super hot; and I used it right away. It turned out fine, luckily for me.I have purchased an expensive cushion once that had "gel" in the title and it wasn't made of any type of gel material, but foam rubber. This one is actually gel. I love it.UPDATE: I bought another one of these cushions for my 101 year old father. He loves it, too!

I gave it a good workout on a European vacation. I used it on the air plane and used it on the buses. It was very good. I liked the way it folded and fit inside a backpack easily. I still got a little butt pain and such but before it would have only been 1 hour and I would have been in pain and with the cushion I could fly to Europe for 6 or 7 hours.

I had high Hope's for this product. I attend conventions that last 8 hours long for up to 3 days long. It is easy to carry. After about 30 minutes I couldn't tell I was sitting on anything. I'll keep looking. At this price, I had hoped for more.

It seems to work fine at my desk. I had initially purchased it for my car. It wasn't until after I had received it that I found out you can't leave it a hot car without allowing it to cool off first, and this could take up to 30 minutes. By that time I am usually already home, or if not, I don't have time to wait for it to cool...and what I am sitting on in the meantime? I also have no desire in most cases to cart it around with me. For comfort atmy desk I give it 4 stars. For convenience I give it 1 star.

I have the wondergel cushion in this and the regular square size. They both work great to increase the comfort of my office chairs. Work requires long periods of sitting in at my desk so this is a lifesaver. The "fold n go" is thinner than the regular size, but works just as well for long sitting times in my opinion. It also fits the seat better since it has a curved design as opposed to the square design of the original.

too firm to be comfortable

We have a family member with a physical disabilty who sits on the floor a lot in order to keep mobile throughout the house. This cushion is just the ticket for relieving pressure on the knees by raising the hips and bottom when sitting in the "backwards w" position for an extended time. Easy to move around areas of the house.We just purchased our second WonderGel Fold-n-Go seat cushion. My family member with the disabilty wanted to sit a little higher on the floor. Because the cover of the pad stretches, I wa able to insert the second gel pad into the1st WonderGel seat cushion cover so now she has twice the thickness . The gel gives her stability better than a solid foam cushion she has used for many years. The 2 pads makes it a bit heavy to pack around but works wonders for her.

Sorry for not putting 5 stars--it is not because I don't like this product. I find that seat cushions depend on the seats you are putting them on-almost completely. I am a Chauffeur and driving a different car each day--and this cushion is not ideal for me for each seat. I doubt that there is a seat cushion that compliments every kind of seat equally.For me, as a short driver,- I am 5'1"-, would be better if the cushion were even thicker in the back and even thinner at front, because as is, it cuts off my circulation as the front part cuts into back of my thigh. But in certain seats, it is pretty good, usually when the seat is short-- meaning not too deep.Product arrived in nice packaging, and was in great shape.

Deserves half a star. An interesting idea that fails utterly in real life.The open cells save on material for the manufacturer and permits air flow in warm climates, but the result is a surface that is not strong enough for the compression of user's body weight. The idea of the open area is supposedly to prevent weight compression on the tailbone. Due to the lack of stability in the material and design, the end result is the seat compresses down and the tail bone gets weight compression anyway. Realistically, perhaps 90% of the same weight is placed on the tailbone as before the cushion usage.In addition, the footprint of the cushion is not large enough (due to portability ?) and hits the legs in the wrong place, making longer period usage very uncomfortable. Not the right result!Check out a cushion that has rigid foam underneath a gel top - that should provide the necessary support and comfort. I had one but lost it on a trip to China and have been unhappy ever since.
