I just got mine, and I couldn't be happier with the quality. I know it's cheap and not authentic, but for a 4' decoration, it's great. I was skeptical whether it would be ok, given that others have rivets missing or squashed or huge knots in the wood, so I ordered, expecting to keep returning until I got one of the good ones, but first time lucky for me! Only 4 stars, however, as the mounting bracket at the back is proud of the surface with two not-flush screws sticking out, and it would rub against any walls and do some damage, so I will likely have to re-engineer that area to work better. Overall, very happy.

Great for the price!

This is a cute wall item and it is very easy to hang because it is so light. However, it also doesn’t handle shipping well because it is not sturdy at all. The first one I received came cracked in half. It was packaged horribly. Just thrown inside a box with minimal protection. It is ridiculous packaging for a product that feels like balsa wood. I sent it back and took my chance on a second one. I was floored when it arrived whole.I tried to sand off some of the stain so that I could stain it a color that matched my husband’s newly remodeled pilot office but it didn’t sand well and the stain it accepted turned out really blotchy. I was hoping for a vintage look but it turned out pretty mediocre. I left it on the wall because it completes the look of the room really well but it is really of pretty poor quality. The rivets in the center are not uniform spacing but that only shows if you stare at it like it have.

I ordered the 2 blade wooden propeller.Honestly, I took a chance with this. I had this on my list for awhile from a different seller and it tripled in price overnight! That's when I realized how much I actually wanted this. When I found this one, at 1/3 of the competitor's new price, I checked the reviews and got a little nervous at the negatives. But I decided to purchase and I'm so glad I did!I received this fairly quickly (while it was listed as 2-Day Prime, shipping date got moved by a few days at one point, but I still received it less than a week after ordering). It was very well packaged. The propeller was tightly wrapped and taped with bubble wrap, and the extra space in the box was filled with bubble wrap. There was no damage to the item from shipping and, when I got it, I could not hear or feel it moving in the box as I opened it.The propeller itself is as pictured; actually, it looks better in person! The paint lined up, and nothing was damaged on it. It may not be perfectly balanced, but I am hanging it at an angle anyway, so that does not bother me. Alternatively, you could use command strips to keep the propeller level on a wall (it's lightweight).You *could* probably gift this piece to someone who likes aviation, but my boyfriend, who has been in the process of getting his pilot's license, was not overly impressed with it at first as a decor piece. Keep in mind, this is just a decor piece and is *not* a real propeller (like those windmills people put on the walls- those aren't real windmills anymore than this is a real propeller). So, if you're looking for something aviation-inspired and nice to go on the wall, but not a conversation starter, this is a great purchase! I'll update this review with pictures when I have them.TL; DR: I would 10/10 recommend this!
