it is more on expensive side compare to the plastic versions of such mats, however, you pay for a few advantages with this one: extremely versatile - the folding design makes it easier to fit into spaces and extremely easy to store when it is not needed - just roll it up like a rug and store away or move to use in another location. It is not bulky when rolled up. The felt backing protects the floor under and somewhat softens the rolling of the chair. It certainly looks good too. And if you don't mind a bit of noise when rolling over it, I'd recommend this mat not only for the looks, but also for practicality. Only used for few months, so yet to see how well it'll last. but so far so good.

After trying two plastic chair mats that both cracked within 6 weeks (and appeared to be a common problem looking at their reviews!) I ordered this mat, hoping it might do the job better.It did. A lot. And it looks so much better then the plastic ones ever did. I use it on a medium pile carpet, no issues. The underside has a grippy covering so it doesn't slide around. Mat rolls up well for storage. Chair doesn't "clip" on the slats.Honestly wasn't sure this was going to be worth the money but I'm now very glad the cheap plastic ones broke because this makes my home office look much more home and much less corporate office block!

Great product. Looks really nice. Wide slats - about 3cm. It does make a little noise when the chair moves on it but not unreasonable. The only reason I’ve not given it 5 stars is that it moves a little over time on the carpet. I need to shift it a little every couple of days but it’s not significant.

I received this product and tried it out on carpet, straight away the office chair wheels made indentations into the bamboo which I am not worried about as it is to protect the carpet. The computer wheels also would also make the slats uneven when on them.I ended up cutting mine down and adding a strong backing wood to make my own design with it as the bamboo is a great colour.

Not bothered by the noise the slats make when wheels roll over them, makes you feel that you are not the only person in the room.

Bought this for an online ballet class at home (the ballet mat’s are super expensive) and it works very well. It doesn’t move about and has another layer so it isn’t too hard on my feet either. It takes my weight easily & doesn’t crack when I move. It rolls up well after use.I don’t use it for an office chair but it would be very suitable.

I was unhappy with this product.The office chair makes a noise as it moves from one slat to the next and the surface showed damage immediately.A positive point was the extended section for your feet to go under a desk.To be fair to the vendor they were very responsive to my complaint and swiftly sorted the matter out.

I have only had the mat for about a month now and it's great. Slight clicking sound when my chair rolls over the slats which is expected. It's used on a carpet and there is virtually no movement as the backing is rubber. Don't know about extended use yet but so far pleasantly surprised. Much better product than the plastic ones.
