Wish there was an option to turn on or off the function that gives the cameras IP's automatically. Cause they don't match your local decor network. Other than that great box.

But this one was different the nvr freeze I unplug it to get started again. The nvr was not same from after that freezing and long wait time to do anything. Man it was bizarre. Not liking the fact that the nvr edit all my third party camera and add the ANNKE text overlay on all camera

Thought I'd give Annke one more try. Not compatible with many of its own brand name cameras - who would have thought? Wants you to download a malicious plugin to view native stream. Hundreds of 404 and 403 errors in the console I see that block virtually all meaningful content. Instructions and interface tooltips are almost impossible to discern due to poor english content writing. Websocket doens't work. SSL cert installed for HTTPS connection doesn't work because it doesn't support WSS. Layer 6 and 7 vulnerabilities out the wazoo. The interface is clearly programmed by amateur chinese developers who haven't got a clue on how to properly handle the mechanisms and security of an RTSP system. Typical chinese made piece of garbage. I am quite literally better off hand-writing a Python script to parse my camera feeds into local net web app.. Or spending a couple thousand dollars on a REAL quality made commercial camera system.

This unit is not compatible with some older ANNKE NVR POE cameras. There is no warning of this in any advertisement of new ANNKE products. I am returning the unit.

The video quality is very bad and video are slow motion

The NVR requires a plug-in that is malware, constantly demanding UAC prompts. Even if you use IE, you will still want to use a plug-in. The live view requires the plugin, specifically LocalServiceComponents.exe, while Internet Explorer requires WebComponents.exe.Both applications are horrid and should be avoided.My Annke IP Cam (model C800) does NOT require any plug-in to live view; it just works! What's even stranger is that the software version for the NVR is newer! So why is it demanding the plug-in? I can only assume it's for malicious purposes.....

Update: Run's hot, had to put a fan under it and one on the side because it was hot to touch. loses camera every once in while that a reboot recovers.... Desktop App sucks... mobile app is ok, but freezes often and gotta close and reopen....I returned a different brand because the mobile app was horrible. This one is great, easy to setup and use. Affordable priceKudos!!

oh annke has some systems with annke cams not sold separately .. did u notice only the recorder is 4k.. read the fine print the annke system cams are only 5mp. .. i give up
