Lasted a while but rusted out
Bought in 2016 for basement floor. Worked as described until one of the sensor electrodes completely rusted off. How can you manufacture a moisture sensor without high quality components?

Great sensor at a great price.
Great, cost-effective solution for preventing water damage. I have these strategically located at all of my water sources and wired back to a controller that closes a relay to a valve that shuts off the main water supply. If something begins leaking, I know exactly where it is coming from and the valve prevents further damage.

Seems to work fine EXCEPT the relay is NC. and I needed NO.
I needed to return the item since the Amazon site did not state whether the integral relay was NO or NC. It is NC and I needed NO.

Works well, high price
These work well. I had replaced an identical water sensor, and I've had these in my basement for many years, and the only down side is that the sensing conductors ended up falling off... Not sure why, but perhaps corrosive water?

it is worth tousands of dollars
i have a some of these set in basement connected to a electronic system that call my cell in a situation of a flood, one night around eleven o"clock i received a call of <water leak>, one pipe was leaking due to corrosion (low PH), shut off the main and avoid what could have been a damage of few thousand dollars

If you have an Ademco Vista alarm center & need a Water/Leak sensor this it it.
Need a hardwired Water/Leak sensor for a Vista alarm center? All you need is a 4 wire cable: 2 for power, 2 for NC contacts. Easy install.

Good product with a couple of failures
I have a number of these installed in two residences. They have notified me a number of times of water leakage in basement areas. I have had a couple of them fail, where one of the wire sensors just seemed to rust away, which should not happen since I believe the wire is stainless. When this happens you do get a trouble signal, so at least you know something is amiss. Overall, they work very effectively and have saved my behind a number of times.
