They don't like it up 'em!!!
Cats always dig up anything newly planted! I protect plants with prickle strip by cutting it to the size and shape I require. Easily done with a pair of sharp scissors. I anchor them using tent pegs, £1 for 10 in Poundland!!! Very easy and, if you position the prickle strip correctly, very effective.

Good but think twice before purchase
This is probably the hardest item I have ever purchased to remove from the packaging, but once you have managed to unwrap it, it’s very tightly coiled and is probably best to unroll it and put a brick either end and leave it to uncoil for a couple of days, while waiting for that to happen it’s probably best to order some pegs to hold it down as the ones supplied are very short, once all that is done it’s nice product to use and seem to go down well with longer 100mm pegs, seems to work for me but then the next problem becomes apparent, how to weed the bed you have fixed this over ,consider the price as the cure may turn out to be worse than the problem

Result!
This product actually works. Neighbours' cats defecating on lawn, flower beds or where there is new soil, is extremely irritating and unpleasant.By placing 9 of these strips around the edge of a small lawn, this created an effective barrier and an area of grass which is now unspoiled. It's great not having to clear up before I can mow the lawn!Although an expensive way to protect the lawn it's well worth it.Highly recommended, as nothing else seems to work.

Useless inless you use steel tent pegs
Awfull system very short strips using the pathetic plastic pins is as much use as using a chocolate saucepan to make soup. When you put them down they just roll back up you need a good 3 inches pf soils for them to work which means the gopping cats still crap over the top of them. Dont waste your money buy a gas air pistol instead, firing an emty gun scares them off, also use white vinegar water, jeyes fluid, garlic water and mistard gas all work to different levels better than these useless strips of plastic!

Pleased with purchase
Mystery nocturnal visitors have been digging up our front flower bed for several weeks. In despair bought this to try and deter them and I have not had an issue since! Have given four stars not five as stakes to secure the matting are totally inadequate. I bought a load of garden peg stakes and they were perfect for holding the pieces in place and made the whole process very easy. Pleased to say that plants are recovering and seem to be growing through the matting well. Have done a bit of weeding and easy to move the matting. All in all the cheapest and most eco-friendly option and doing the job.

Only thing I've found that stops bl##dy cats !
Having tried an electronic cat scarer, the cat spike strips and anti-cat granules, I was still having problems with one particular cat. Having layed this around all the plants in my raised planters and larger pots, this is the only thing that has stopped it. I've watched it from the window several times trying to work a way to dig around it, but it can't.Not cheap, but worth it as it works !

Didn't work for stopping cats pooping in garden
...but I can hardly attribute this to any particular flaw of the product. I love cats a lot, but they are a pest when they decide on something - they will just go and do it, spikes or no spikes!6 inch nails buried tightly together to form a nasty spike mat did not do the trick either, so...How the little bugger did her business in the middle of these nails is beyond the power of my imagination...

It works
Worked for us. We did not use the pins provided they were too small. Weed fabric pins worked well, as did tent pegs. I’ve also placed the strip over planted seeds to stop birds digging up the young plants. That’s also worked but you need to remove the strips as the plants grow.A combination of these strips and sonic cat scarers have worked. Our garden used to be a cat toilet. Now cats avoid it like the plague.
