Good product with serious reliability issues
This pressure cooker is great while it's new. However, Breville is clearly cutting corners on quality of the components. Lid locking mechanism failed after a few months and we couldn't even open the cooker to get the food out. To their credit, Breville replaced the cooker free of charge. However, the second one started leaking air after less than a year and now we have to deal with persistent smell of cooked food because of the constant flow of steam. We tried to adjust the screw in one of the valves, but it gave no effect. A few times, the lid got stuck just like in the first one.We also have a Breville oven and it also had to be replaced because of a faulty door closing mechanism.Breville has clearly decided that it's cheaper to replace an occasional cooker/oven than to invest in better parts that produce a longer-serving appliance. In our case, this strategy won't work, because we will not buy any Breville products in the future. You make your own decision.

Quality Product, Excellent At It's Function
So far I have used the cooker to pressure cook beans, brown rice, and chicken, brown a roast and then slow cook it. I have to say that the beans cooked up just right, the rice was perfect and actually requires less water than when cooked in my old pressure cooker (haven't figured that one out yet). Some chicken breasts pressured cooked with onions and a spicy green sauce were falling apart tender and delicious. I pressure cooked some chicken breasts with a The braise/brown function worked great and as a slow cooker it worked as well as my large counter-top model slow cooker. Cleans very easily, non-stick pot is great as is the water trap around the lid. Only complaint is it is a wee bit complicated to open and close. Make sure the pressure relief is in correct position or it will heat up for 5 minutes before telling you it failed and to start over. *Addendum - After using a few months, I do have a complaint - when pressure cooking, this cooker takes way too long to heat up to pressure. I use a pressure cooker for speed, I don't save time if it takes 20 minutes to reach pressure. Fix it Breville!

Quality product
This is a substantially made multi use cooker, slow, pressure whatever. It is easy to use if you are willing to read and follow the directions. It’s not too heavy to lift and seems like a great quality product.

Expensive Doorstop
This cooker did the job if an instant pot, no more no less, at twice the price of the instant pot. Still, it was nice and heavy and I was suitably impressed with it's obvious German engineering, the Subaru of kitchen utensils...until...it stopped working 2 months out of warranty..I called Brevulke and they offered to fix it for $80 so I did myself a favor and bought an instant pot on sale firvunder$79. I have used it for over two years with no problem.

Works Well BUT No Replacement Pot Available
I have used this pressure cooker, and I mean USED it, for 4 years now. It is a workhorse in my kitchen and it consistently does a great job. I think it cooks a little more gently than some other electric pressure cookers I've used, and it cleans very easily. My issue is that after using it for so long, I need a new pot insert. The non-stick coating on mine is starting to flake and scratch, yet Breville doesn't sell a replacement pot. For such an expensive appliance you expect it to last a long time, and non-stick coatings just don't last. From a safety perspective, this is a problem because I don't want to cook for my family with a product that would introduce harmful chemicals into our food. Why don't they sell a replacement?? I would love to buy a new Breville Fast Slow Pro when mine finally does stop working, but I can't justify the cost if they don't offer a replacement pot. Other brands offer a stainless steel pot that will last much longer and I wouldn't have to worry about the coating coming off into our food. As much as I love this product, I wouldn't buy it again for that reason.
