Quality tool.
I'd received the smaller 3.7v earlier model as a gift a Xmas time which I've enjoyed using as a useful piece of kit. I fancied a go at some carving and decided to upgrade, I thought the Dremel would be a bit pricey at a similar spec, so opted for the Tacklife, not disappointed at all, even with some cheap end diamond burrs it's cut into some pretty tough stone (see unfinished effort).Haven't used it on full power much (the five Leds indicate in increments to 30000 rpm) it has a good feel to it definitely well made, I'd be hard pushed to see where a Dremel cordless would be massively better.Very happy....😀👍

Excellent tool at a great price!
A week before I bought this item, I purchased its bigger brother the RTD37AC. I was rather impressed by its quality and price point, so much so that I bought this RTD02DC cordless rotary tool. Both items appear to be of good quality and — with discounts — came in at excellent price points. Both appear to be solidly built and feel neither too heavy nor too light for my hands — just right. I found the buttons to be responsive. The 5-speed selection option is great — it also gives more flexibility than some other cordless models I was looking at that only offered 2 to 3 selectable speeds. The battery level indicator comprises 4 LEDs and provides a reasonable indication regarding how much battery charge is left. The carry case is a nice touch and has adequate room — I love the fact that after you remove the items from the case and finish using them, you do not have to battle like crazy to figure out how to squeeze everything back into the case. At the time of writing this review, three months have passed since I purchased this item. As I have also the corded version. I have only used this cordless one for small, quick jobs around the house. With the cordless version, I do not need to fuss about with electrical cords and extension cables, it has become my preferred go to rotary tool for quick jobs around the house and the car.For the odd jobs I'm doing, I have found this cordless version (RTD02DC) to be powerful enough for my needs. Admittedly, I have been using tools for many years and, as far as possible, I habitually avoid pushing my tools under excessively heavy loads. However, if motor power is of concern to the work that you will be doing then note the following: — the RTD37AC corded version packs a 200W motor;— by contrast, I could not find any info on this RTD02DC cordless motor’s wattage… however, as with most battery-driven tools, one can usually expect cordless variants to have a smaller wattage motor. I suspect it maybe a trade-off in design... too large a motor and the battery won't last as long... or, alternatively, adding a larger battery to accommodate a larger motor will make the item heavier and unwieldy. My recommendation is:A) If you plan to do quick, odd jobs around the house or the car and you do not wish to fuss about with electrical cables and extensions then get the cordless RTD02DC version.B) If you plan to do more lengthy jobs that require extensive hours of use then, consider the RTD37AC version.C) Or, if you are like me — look out for these items to come on under lightning deals or for discount vouchers and — buy both! I did and I am very pleased with both purchases!Minor complaint:If you have numerous cordless tools and electronic devices, each using its own dedicated charger then, when numerous items are used at the same time, it can become a little confusing which charger goes with which tool. The mains charger for this unit does not bear any label identifying it as the TACKLIFE Cordless Tool’s Charger (although, I plan to put a small homemade sticker on mine soon). Also, chargers can sometimes give up the ghost or, on occasion, be misplaced or left back at home. It would be nice if the tool’s charger port had a symbol that indicated the + and - terminals, the voltage, as well as, the current. (By the way, as per the markings on the charger its specifications are 9V DC, 1A with a positive-centre and negative-outer connection. Preferably, avoid using 3rd party chargers and never mix up the connection polarity!!! )

A bargain!
This is an excellent tool with a decent set of attachments (although I'd recommend quickly getting some more). The motor is great - as fast and effective as an equivalent Dremel, and a charge lasts a long time. I was also impressed by the case it comes in, which is well made and very compact.

Early days but seems to fit the bill
So, I wanted cordless rotary tool. Corded I only use PROXXON as this is the only manufacturer I trust and yes, they have cordless tools in their range but I do not wanted to pay over 200 pounds for one tool. After weeks of research, not having really much options I bought Tacklife on a lightning deal for 29.99 gbp. It looks solid, well balanced and added case is of a good quality. Machine is covered in rubber in some parts so it helps keeping in hands steady and securely...Now bad points...Speed... You can only controll it in steps, not smoothly although machine is quite when revs. When you switch it on it allways starts from 15000 revs per minute, so if you need to go down to 5000 you have to adjust every time you start over. Not big deal but rather strange feature. What I do not like is... Only one collet supplied 3,2mm. If you want to drill with tiny drills than, well...you have to find extra collets for this machine. Now, wonder which one will fit. Please notice although that collet is triple cut, like PROXXON which is much better than usuall 4 cuts as it gives more centric to fitted attachements. There is extra case to buy separately with attachements that consist of three extra collets but again...it costs 29,99 gbp so it would bring up a total of nearly 70 pounds for machine and extras which I would re reluctant to pay. Machine itself should last some considerable amount of time. Well done Tacklife.

Surprised
First and foremost this is an absolute bargain compared to the more well known brands and arrived very quickly. In your hand it feels comfortable and the balance is good. It comes with a basic set of attachments to get you going out of the box which is always a winner. There’s plenty of power available and a great battery life. Hadn’t really heard of this brand until I started looking for a multi tool and glad I made the leap of faith, very pleased.

Excellent tool for a multitude of jobs
This is one of those tools that after you've got it you wondered how you managed before. I've used it to cut off rusted screws and nails, to sand down a wrought iron gate prior to re-painting, to cut a groove in a piece of wood during a refurbishment, to smooth aluminium angle after cutting and to polish our stainless steel house number. The tool is well made and feels quality in your hand. The bits and pieces supplied with it are all very useful and there are a multitude of other pieces available from TACKLIFE and other sellers on Amazon. The battery lasts very well and comes complete with charger and a strong, practical case - it arrived next day on Amazon Prime - all in all a very useful tool at a very good price.
