Does a good job of breakdown in the schematic drawings and provides enough information to understand clearly steps needed to be taking to get a repair done. Highly beneficial to have on hand.

This is a very good book for anyone that does mainence or repair on Johnson outboard motors.

The manual is fairly comprehensive but a little hard to follow in some areas due to the large number of engines and variations it covers. You will definitely need to find, then sit and read over the applicable section a few times before starting work. The instructions seem to all be there but the manual does jump around a little and it was a little hard at times to find the parts that were applicable to my engine. Not a bad manual but could be organized a better.

I like lots of photo's but they could be clearer, the manual has lots of information on the models and a lists of engine identification numbers which is very helpful.

I have only done a quick scan of the book (twice) and I'm quite impressed with what I've seen so far with the amount of information contained inside. I have purchased a 1984 8hp Johnson & a 1976 9.9 Evinrude this year, the Johnson was serviced prior and runs great but the Evinrude sat for 5 years and I bought it because of the desire to strip it down and do any of the repairs/servicing myself ( I'm a qualified millwright by trade) and working on a outboard motor is something I haven't attempted yet. ein gutes Nachschlagewerk, ausreichend Details, so dass die Reparatur und die Ersatzteilbestellung einfach und gut möglich ist. Ohne wäre vieles nicht möglich, ein muss für Motorbesitzer, die wissen wollen, wie das Ding funktioniert.
