A great price point for a terrific product
A great price point for a terrific product. Purchased for a free afterschool/summer program for low SES kids, most of them having little science instruction, experience in nature, and no opportunity for lab experiences. Easy for kids to learn to use, and as magnetic as any game experience.

Real scientific tool for your kid!
My son was begging for real microscope, and after some market research we stumled upon this one. It's comes up as number one in terms price/value. Decided to order. What a fun for out son! This is not a toy but real research instrument. Comes with some testing materials, but easily can be supplied with your own to study. Tons of fun!

Adjusting coarse and fine focusing knobs are well damped and not easily bumped
This is a very well designed microscope for the beginning young person as well as the adult who wants to aid a young person discover the microscopic world around them (or even do some exploring on their own). The light is very bright and can be adjusted to what ever level needed. There is a light from below for illuminating through a specimens mounted on a slide and another from above to allow viewing of objects which are not mounted. Adjusting coarse and fine focusing knobs are well damped and not easily bumped. It is a solid and heavy enough to be stable on a table even with a young viewer. So far we have loved it! It is more than I would have expected in a first microscope.

Highly Recommend!
Beautiful microscope. My grandson loves it! It is well made and recommend it. The only negative is there is no carrying case for the microscope.
