doggie cam
**updated review**One of the 3 cameras I purchased hasn't been working. I tried to view it on my phone but it keeps bouncing back and states the camera is "offline". I manually disconnected and reconnected the camera 3 times in the app and also tried the reset button. The camera is beeping periodically and I tried the customer support email provided but have not received any responses for a week now. Looks like this one might be going to the dumpster.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -I purchased this camera so I can keep an eye on my dogs while I'm out. This camera does the trick with decent audio and video quality, and I love how i can tilt, pan, and zoom in and out on the camera remotely by swiping and pinching over the the screen on my phone. I also have the option of turning on or off the sound, and the mic option comes in handy when I catch my dog misbehaving. To speak through the camera, I would hold down the mic button on the bottom of the screen and speak, my dogs would then stop mid-action with whatever they're doing and start looking around the house for me, or rather, the source of my voice. I don't have a great WiFi connection at home but it still works fine, other than the times where I have to try a few times to get connected to the camera. I'm pretty sure it would work even better if I had better WiFi connection at home. There's also a little camera icon on the bottom left of the screen for you to take snapshots. I use this for live feed so I haven't tried the recording option this camera has to offer. The set up was really easy. I plugged in the metal antenna, SD card it came with, and one end of the power cord to the back of the camera. Then I plugged in the other end of the power cord to the outlet, downloaded the Hikam app on my phone, and within the app, set up my account and the camera's WiFi connection which took about 60 seconds to do. I'm looking forward to purchasing a second camera soon!

Good Small Home Office Camera for the price but not open up to the industry standards, a king in its own shell
Great Small Home Office Camera for the price but need to open up to the industry standardsPros:-Great vivid HD quality videos during day and lighted areas.-Compared to its counterparts, night time and low light performance not at all bad although not great.-If all your cameras are from HiKam, I would say one of the best cameras in the price range for SOHO .-Good iphone/android app-Email with snapshots on alarm works-Opportunity to increase alarm capabilities via Hikam RF sensors.Cons:-If you want real time recording using a Surveillance application like CMS or Blue iris its a bad option. CMS connectivity keeps dropping and once dropped takes a long time to initialize and start showing video, No support for Blue iris.-I was never able to record to the SD card and play it back, I tried it 2-3 times, although the alarms were triggering and I was getting mails but never saw it actually record to the SD even after trying all possible options, could not play back anything.-No FTP or Cloud recording support.-You cannot directly view the camera when you are outside of your home(Wifi/Lan) . Need a techie kind of a setup, to first setup a VPN server at your home/Office network then connect to the VPN from the phone and then the APP will work from outside when you are not in your LAN/Wifi, I tried it and once the VPN is connected the video is smooth as if you are home. No port forwarding options available too.-Motion detection is still at primary school stage even with PIR, will generate a lot of false alarm.-While connected to CMS if you turn on the audio there is a lot of ambient loud hum noise, you will never want to be recording those 24/7. Once the speaker is turned off , without audio its good.

A must have security camera!!!!
I give it a 5 even though as I took it out of the box, something is rattling around inside. After talking with customer service, I found out that the rattling noise is supposed to be there. It has something to do with the leveling of the camera. The picture quality is excellent. At first it was horrible and fuzzy. But once I unscrewed the camera a little, it focused to a true quality picture. Setting it up at work was extremely difficult, but I think that has something to do with their network settings that I can't get into to change. I then took it home and set up was a breeze. After I got it working at home, I then brought it back to work, and it works as long as I stay connected by Ethernet. I'm still going to play around with it some more, because the motion sensor and PIR settings seem extremely sensitive. Too many false alarms. But at home with a different point of view, it worked great. The trouble I'm having with at work is that I'm trying to set it up for basically a long narrow space. (May be the cause of false alarms). You can pan, tilt, and zoom. I believe in their own description it left out zoom. But in fact,it does zoom. I like watching the live feed and panning, tilting, and zooming in on my perpetrators. It also has a feature to where you can take a quick snapshot as you're watching. Plus, you can listen in or talk out as well. Customer service is very helpful and friendly as well as a speedy response time. I'm thinking about buying some more. Excellent price. Excellent product. You don't have to be tech savvy to set it up either.

Toy Camera
***Updated Review***After figuring out how to connect to this camera using ONVIF, it's not the worst. The speaker and microphone in it actually work better tahn my FOSCAM. I still wish it had a web interface.---This camera is a toy. It is not HD, and there is no Web interface for managing it. You have to create a cloud account. And if you forget the password for your cloud account? The official resolution is to just create another. The Android app is childish at best. Don't be seduced by the price, you will get what you pay for.
