Excellent....do not trim to fit.
Please Do Not trim away foam to fit as others have suggested, this is incorrect and will lead to problems. Push from fridge side with a purpose and assist retaining clips through from freezer side, it is tricky and you do have to push and rock diffuser to get clips to latch on freezer side. This is intentional so that it seals 100%. Item fit and function is perfect and it is OEM part. Great seller easy fix for stuck diffuser (usually burned out from icing by diffuser door caused by............poor sealing between fridge and freezer!A lot of reviewers talk about a warm fridge from the diffuser sticking closed but it can also stick open (or get jammed open by ice) in that case it will lower your fridge temps to 30 or less. Sometimes just removing the diffuser and thawing it out will fix the problem.Update: 2023-Still working. I will repeat what I originally said - Do Not Trim to Fit!- All reviewers who claim the attaching prong arms are not long enough are wrong, it is an illusion because the foam is shrunk on the original. Foam has open cell structure that will 'Give' when you install it. Push on the refrigerator side and assist locking tabs by reaching into the freezer side - it's very simple but does take some strength. If you are a woman or a girly man find a Man to assist you.

Fixed my KitchenAid superba
I fixed my KitchenAid Superba side-by-side with this.Since we moved in, the fridge has not been working correctly. At first, the freezer was so cold it would freeze a tub of ice cream into stone, and also freeze milk, apples, etc in the fridge side. Then, a couple weeks later, the fridge would be super warm (~42F) and the freezer would still be freezing things solid. Turns out, the louvers in this module weren't opening and closing. When I took the module out, there was something rattling inside and the louvers would just fall open or closed with gravity. Thus, the problem was that the temperature control wasn't able to open or close the passage between the freezer and the fridge, which mean it couldn't regulate the temperature in either. In case it's not clear, the fridge is cooled by letting some air in from the freezer side until the fridge is cool enough, and then closing it off. Assuming the freezer always needs to be colder, this generally works fine.Replacing this module was pretty easy. As others here said, the clips were a tight fit on my model as they were slightly shorter than the original module. I just trimmed the foam a little which gave the additional clearance needed to fit it into place.

Easy do-it-yourself repair to save hundreds to resolve a warm/frozen fridge compartment.
I was so glad to have this option instead of having a service call or buying a new fridge/freezer.I was having problems with my food spoiling because the fridge side was too warm. After discovering how to remove the diffuser, I was able to chill my food again while shopping for replacement parts. I found this one and ordered it.The fit was a bit tight, as mentioned in other reviews. However, the power plugs and screws were perfect, so I just cinched it down and put the cover back on it, and haven't had a problem since. The old diffuser could probably be rebuilt for next time, but at such a low cost for a component that gives the fridge a rebirth, it was worth the expense for the low-hassle swap-out.I think the replacement job took like 20 minutes (apart from taking the time to wash all the fridge shelves that needed cleaned anyway!)

Planned Obsolescence...
Im giving it 3 stars because Whirlpool planned obsolescence makes this part break after 8-10 years. It contains a contact switch that will fail since there is no way to access the contact for cleaning. Sadly this leads to catastrophic fridge failure. and many resourceful peole will dispose of thier entire fridge due to this dirty contact switch. The new Amazon part here worked well upon installation. It also may be possible to break the old part open, clean the contact switch ( by wiping it off with a dollar bill), and glue the part back together. Will never buy another Whilpool or Kitchenaid product. Sticking with Fridgidaire from now on.

worked as designed
Replaced diffuser on Kenmore side/side refrigerator. It was an exact match and took about 15 minutes to install. The faulty part was stuck open causing items to freeze. The part was over half the cost compared to a local distributor. I wasn't going to spend much on a 14 year old appliance. Pre-work is helpful, make sure the temp sensor is functional using the ice water method and multi meter. It is pretty easy to tell whether the damper is open or closed. As shown in the picture with the damper.

Worked in my Fridge for 3 months.
Installed in my Kenmore Elite fridge. The freezer temp was fine but fridge was 55-60 deg. It worked for about 3 months and now doing the same thing, no airflow into fridge. I just ordered another fridge. The part seemed like quality but must be something else wrong.

Perfect replacement for my Kitchenaid refrigerator diffuser
Took a fair amount of research to determine this part was responsible for my refrigerator not cooling (but the freezer section was still very cold). Found the part, found a YouTube video detailing removal and replacement. The procedure took about 30 minutes each way. Fridge stated cooling immediately. I'm sure this saved an expensive service call.

Universal with a bit o’ modification
Worked great once installed. Did have to shave 1/16” off the styrofoam body to make it fit. Was fairly easy with a sharp kitchen knife and a little care. Refer working great!

Unlike others, it fit my frig perfectly. Exactly ...
Unlike others, it fit my frig perfectly. Exactly the same as the original part. I watched a number of videos and shopped around at a number of sites first, to ensure that this was the right part. I've had it installed for just over a year now without a single problem.

Item did not fit as the original. Item had to be modified using parts from the old one. Other wise item was satisfactory
