GNC Womens Ultra Mega Bone Density Without Iron and Iodine 120 Caplets

In 2004 I began having symptoms of Celiac Disease, which causes malabsorption when the person ingests wheat, barley, or rye. I was not diagnosed until early 2005. During this time I was taking this vitamin/mineral supplement. My physician, who did not believe supplements were beneficial, changed his mind. He believes taking this supplement kept me from having severe symptoms of malnutrition. I have taken ever since.

I purchased this product for use during spinal fusion surgery recovery. The product itself seems to work well, as I am recovering at a rather rapid rate. Bonus: my nails are super strong and my hair has grown quite quickly as well... they were pretty astonished at my monthly salon appointment! The pills do have a rather peculiar smell (fish and vanilla) and you have to take them three times daily, which is inconvenient. The scent does make them a bit unpleasant to carry in my pill organizer in my purse... it seems to cling to any items that are porous and sharing the same space.

I've been using this supplement for years. My bone density scans have been awesome and I'm now in my mid-50s so I personally feel this has helped!

I agree that 4 for a serving seems like a bit much but that's as designed for this product by GNC. I took a GNC vitamin before that was 2 for a serving but they were larger in size. This product works great for my needs. Had the big H in my late 20's so I had to start thinking about bone health early. No iron allows me to get the nutrional supplementation I need without interrupting trips to the bathroom. Thanks!!

Although I will probably be happy with the product, I am not happy to find that this item is sized at 4 caplets per serving. So, the bottle of 120 is really only one month's worth of vitamins. This brand and type is sold on drugstore.com in a bottle of 180 sized for two caplets per serving (3 months worth) at the same price (one penny different). So I feel like this item is a big rip-off.
