Awesome tires
I am just a regular mtb biker but I wanted to start taking more technical trails so I ordered a couple of the Mountain King 29x2.2 to replace the stock WTB wolverine tires that came with my bike. Here are some comments I want to share:As many buyers mentioned the tires look narrow so I assume they do not have the correct size, unfortunately I do not have calipers to confirm this. They looked narrower than the wolverine. The tires are tubeless ready but I use tubes, they were very easy to install.I had run them for a week on regular trails and pavement and they perform better than my old tires, the grip is awesome and the rolling resistance is less than I expected.Today I took them to a more agressive, loose and very rocky trail, they worked great the entire way, it was easier to climb and they perform excelent in the downhill portion, they took every obstacle without any issue you can feel the grip between the tires and the rocks actually I could hear them.So far I am more than happy with the tires and definitely recommend anyone to buy them, if you can get the 2.4 size I am sure they would be better.

THEY are great for the price and the hard top and trails ...
I bought the black 26x2.2 experience opinion is the come a little Skiny just a bit. The are tubless for sure no problem not foldable meaning the will come in a big box. THEY are great for the price and on the hard top and trails the only thing I am having problems with one of the tires holding air. THEY said it's maid in Germany BUT the once I have it says on the tire made in India so you know.Price ok not greatQuality acceptable meaning you need a good sealantEasy to mount yes you new co2Look nice yes they look good but just a little Skiny shout for a bigger size You will be ok.Overall most important tubless ready look good and good quality. I bought them on sale for 30 each so far no problems just the air I am still trying to figure it out. You will be ok though. Update after 200 miles on this tires they do work great. Good product. They do hold the air after riding for a while using slime.

Very Pleased
I had a set of these previously on my Jamis 29'er and they worked great. I sold that bike (29 not for me) and got anotherJamis only this time 26.5 with a smaller frame. Stock tires not so good, bought a set of 2.35 X 26.5 Bontranger X-4 Experts for way too much money on the sales man;s recommendation. Rode those for a few months and hated them. Too big, too floaty - maybe good for soft surface. Went back to the Conti's (smaller at 2.20) and they really dig in. Better steering, better traction on climbs. Nicequality as always from Conti, and easy to install.

Good tire... great price.
If you still ride a dinosaur 26er like me, you know that parts, tires, forks, etc. are getting harder to come by. This Mountain King is a breath of fresh air. The price is fantastic and it’s a really good tire. Maybe even great. It’s s 5-star front tire. Great grip, compliant carcass, excellent feedback.I ride in S Florida and some of our trails are rocky and loose. For some reason, it doesn’t seem to stick as well as a rear. Not a big issue but the reason why I gave it a 4-star rating and not a five.I’ve read reviews that say this tire is heavy or slow. Not true for me. On my Specialized Epic they’re as fast as they need to be and they accelerate like any of my previous tires. If you’re on the fence, jump. They’re perfect.

Air passes right through the sidewall
This tire won't hold air, tubeless. Well, to be precise, one of the two I ordered does not. I pumped 180 oz of Stans into it and soaped it. The sidewalls are bubbling like crazy. The bead is set, but it's easy to pop out-- scary easy. With my Ralph's, it's so hard to get the bead out that I often hurt myself. I wonder if this is why these continentals just won't hold air. I've seen exactly the same complaint online and on youtube. There's a guy soaping and showing the blooming all over the tire. It's a shame. they look like good tires. What a waste of money. I took longer than 30 days to put them on, so now I'm stuck with them. No way to return through Amazon.

These are fantastic tires! Been running 2
These are fantastic tires! Been running 2.4's, front and back, for a while now and couldn't ask for anything better. They shed mud very well and continue to ride through like a boss! That goes for any terrain you ride in! Buying the protection/chili compound version is a must as this is a dramatically different, and improved tire. Yes its $30 more but its worth it (I bought both versions). Just be aware that the sizing on these tires is way off! First bought the 2.2 but that barely reaches 2.0 (making it pretty bad in the muddy stuff) so i got the 2.4 and its right under 2.2, so keep that in mind. bottom line, awesome tire and definitively worth the money.

Tough tires
Compared to Specialized Grid tires that I previously had they seem to be as narrow as the Specialized 2.1 I had despite having larger supposed width by number. They do seem to not wear as easily as the Soecialized Grid and still provide good grip on the trails I ride in Las Vegas. Side walls and knobs seem to be sturdier too as I have scraped against plenty of rocks with no damage so far.

Fake? Defective?
Not sure what is up with the tire I received... I was under the impression that "ProTection" indicates tubeless ready?? I have no issue mounting the tire or getting it to seat properly... The issue is with MASSIVE leaking from the sidewall of the tires.Once I had the tire mounted and seated properly, I deflated and added sealant... Then I pumped up the tire again and shook around to disperse sealant.... Low and behold.... I noticed the PSI was dropping slowly... Pulled out my spray bottle with soapy water, sprayed on the tire, and there were hundreds of leaks from the sidewalls all over the tire.... Really disappointing.

Excelente llanta tubeless

It is a doddle to go tubeless with these tyres
An excellent tyre fits very well on Stan's ZTR rims and Hope hoops, it is a doddle to go tubeless with these tyres. Light and grippy.
