It works for me.
Purchased this to control an old Kerr 666 oven/furnace that I am using to melt aluminum. . It was easy to install and works great. I am tempted to give it 4 instead of 5 stars for the documentation but it did not hinder my installation so it gets 5.As others have said the documentation is poor, but the terminals are clearly marked on the unit. Hooked up the line AC, thermocouple , and + and - to the power control module. There has been some confusion about the red and blue wires on the thermocouple. With mine red is positive.Various videos on mypin controlers helped with the programming.I am thinking of getting another one for use on a toaster oven.

PID control
Great product for the price. Instructions are a bit hard to follow.

Some things that would be nice to see as improvements are
Works well. Some things that would be nice to see as improvements are, 1, send a heat sink with the relay, because it absolutely needs it. And 2, have some way to power off the controller with a button or switch on the control box. Other than that, it is great. I'm using it to power my home built powdercoating oven with 2 1750 watt 220v heating elements.

Buy this temp controller! Shipped FROM U.S.A
Exactly as described. Fast shipping! Perfect for my application. Holds temp very well. Complicated instructions for beginners, but the autotune works perfectly. I'd buy it again.

Works great for 3-6 months
I have had to replace these units repeatedly. After about 3-6 months of working perfectly, they suddenly cease to read the temperature from the probe correctly, resulting in grossly underheated water in the tank where the controller is set up. I can't seem to get support, warranty, or replacement from the manufacturer. It pains me to write this poor review, given how many of these units I have deployed. I am now being forced to replace them as they fail--with another company's product.

Fixed my smoker
The initial installation of this unit was pretty straight forward as it did have the pins marked for everything on the unit. I got my smoker back up and running. The manual that came with it wasn't very detailed or clear.

Made in China... where else?
The lack of quality control in China, is remarkable. I'll review this further once I've had more time to evaluate the controller. Documentation on MYPIN products is essentially nonexistent. Anything you do manage to find on the MYPIN Chinese website, is written in nonsensical English. There are a few videos on YouTube that may help you with this. What amused me the most, is shown in the attached photo of the internal circuit board. In 40+ years in the electronics business, I have never seen anyone use a piece of twist tie as a jumper wire on a printed circuit board... Yes, the same twist ties that come with garbage bags. The "jumper" wire is only about an inch long, so the cost of it, is about as irrelevant as it gets. I can only speculate as to how some electronic assembler in China, came to use a piece of garbage bag twist tie on a product for export to the United States, but it does show me once again, how irrelevant quality is to the majority of Chinese manufacturers.I'm going to use this to control the temperature of a Bradley electric smoker, and for that purpose I believe it will be OK. You can bet that I'm going to have a few made in America safeguards built in though, in case this controller goes berserk. There is no way I would use this in any type of application where reliability is concerned.
