My New Favorite Box
I've purchased dozens of android boxes over the past six years (previously was a box programmer for resale.)Until now, my home box was the nvidia shield. Once programmed, the shield far outdistances the competition. But, the nvidia shield is expensive ($200), and it is a challenge for the uninitiated to set up. Just purchased this Transpeed 9.0 tv box because it was only about $50; I was curious as to how it performed. Good golly miss molly!! It was fabulous. The price was ridiculously low for all its features. Comes pre installed with a working version of YouTube and Google Chrome. That is a big deal! By now, many box owners have discovered they can no longer access YouTube on their unit. The fix entails a procedure that would make Einstein weep. This Transpeed box is perfect for customers who want a simple set up; especially if you are hoping for a way to eliminate those costly cable or satellite tv subscription bills. This box can even eliminate your Netflix subscription or prime video, if you mostly like movies and on demand tv programs. If you own a smart phone, the interface of this box should be very familiar to you. Open the google browser and search for "get filelinked." Once you have installed the filelinked apk, the rest of the programming is brainless. Filelinked is sort of like a google play store hosted by private individuals. Each host offers a variety of apk options that can be INSTALLED without using a file browser. You can get everything from Kodi to Free Movie apps to TV and even live television. But, enough about that. This review is regarding the Transpeed 9.0 android box. 4 GB of Ram. 32 GB on board memory. More than enough to challenge those high-priced boxes. Box is rooted, which means you have access to the Google Play Store and services such as Netflix and Prime Video. The remote controller is the same one you find on 95% of the boxes these days. Satisfactory. However, this purchase also includes a remote keyboard/mouse at no extra cost. By the way, I have not yet needed to use the extra hardware. The mouse function on the Transpeed controller worked OK. IMPORTANT: Any android box is only going to be as good as your internet connection. Trust me on this. Invest the money to upgrade your internet speed. Otherwise, you risk buffering and slow response. Don't think you will be able to enjoy an android box by using your phone as a mobile hotspot. I suggest you need at least 50MB/sec service to be pleased. 25MB would be the absolute minimum, in my opinion. I pay for 200 MB at a cost of $60 per month with a well known cable company. This allowed me to cancel cable tv and home phone service. Now, I pay less than $40 a YEAR for magic jack phone; and $5 a month for an IPTV television service (1500+ channels including HBO, Starz, Showtime, and Pay Per View.) With an adequate internet connection, this Transpeed 9.0 box can save you a fortune over the next few years. Not only is this box easy to set up; it is very powerful. I've spent the past two days putting it through my own obstacle course. Some techs review boxes based on "benchmarks." I base my evaluation on "real-world" results. The Transpeed box has not disappointed me in any way. I've jumped from app to app as soon as they loaded. I've watched hours of YouTube. Binged on several box movies and tv shows. No glitches. It plays seamlessly in 4K. I don't own an 8K television, but I did do some 8K tests, and the box never hesitated. Apologies for such a long-winded review. But, it's been a long time since I got so excited about a new product. Actually, I held off posting this review until I had confirmed the purchase of two more Transpeed boxes for my family. Now I wish I had not ordered that other new box which is not scheduled for delivery for another two months. (costs half again more.) Anyhow, I sincerely recommend this box to all first-time users; and to all pros who are not too proud to admit they spent too much on their last unit. As a footnote: YouTube might brag about a great box that just hit the market. You might get excited and order that one (which comes from China on a slow boat) only to learn your box has a glitch that is not uncommon with new releases.) Been there done that. This box was shipped locally (by Allbestec) and arrived in less than 48 hours. At least I know it's not going to cost me a hundred bucks to safely send it to China for repair or replacement. Been there done that too. I review everything I buy from Amazon. And, that's a lot. I've never given a longer or more praise-worthy review about any other product. If this smart tv box proves difficult for you, just ask a teenager for help. It's that simple.

Great speed, graphics, platform. Os not compatible with even some of google play store downloads
I have several other android boxes but outdated so I ordered this one with twice the ram, double the cpu, more hdd and android pie. Way better than my other old boxes. I have put custom roms on my others to try and get more but wasn’t enough. This transpeed box is nice and quick, responsive, clean and classy style launcher. The remote is solid and comfortable and works great. The bonus of the mini keyboard is awesome. I’ve ended up buying acouple more of the little keyboards for my other devices now. The only thing that is irritating the crap out of me is some of the most common games and apps will are not compatible with the stock software mind you it comes out of the box about 3/4 rooted. I have made this my main box in the theater room on 75” uhd 4K screen. The movies and tv are awesome. The games that will work are smooth and quick even with the graphic settings up alittle. But it’s a good thing I have other boxes and other platforms that all can play very app and game I want except for this one. I’m gonna try a Custom rom and see if that fixes it. If not then I’ll just have to upgrade again and pass this one down the line.

Don't buy this if you want to run kodi.
The product itself works. I guess.... kodi isn't working whatsoever... no matter how many times I delete and re-download. No matter what, it stops working within like 3 minutes of kodi booting up. It won't play videos at all. The kodi mod they had pre-installed was all in Greek, so I had no clue what i was doing. I have Xanax build currently but still nothing. I also do not like the fact that you can't update netflix... you have to use both remotes to navigate the app and it a hige hassle when I can just use my Chromecast in literal seconds. literally the only thing I use it for now is netflix because kodi never works.

Android box that works like it should!!!
this is the best working device i've bought. it was way beyound expectations! its fast (259mb on ethernet), works great, great pic, easy to download apps, iptv apps work correctly. 4k+ has a great picture, i just can't believe how good this box works and the cheap price. i have bought more expensiv boxes that have same specs but they don't work as well as this one!! i really like the launcher that comes installed and the apps. i use amazon and netflix apps that were pre-installed on my tv so i don't have to download them.this box is really at a great deal. this is one of cheapest 4x32 boxes out but i am tikled to death. i don't know if i just lucked out or not but i would not hesitate to buy again. i've purchased so many android boxes and returned for 1 reason or another that amazon sent me an email because i had returned so many. this is one phenomanol box!!

I will keep this to play with but i will likely get a chromecast with google TV or Nvidia Shield
I expected and Android TV to be something to tinker with and I don't mind that. I expected to have to side-load APKs (install from sources other than the google store). Doing that was not an issue with me. Hulu and CBS All Access did work after finding the right APKs. I had problems using the Peacock app and the Disney+ app. What has also proven to be an issue is an inability to support 4k in some apps (like Netflix) as well as the ability to use the remote (like Netflix, HBO Max, Pluto TV, etc). This means i was constantly at any time switching between a remote and the keyboard (more than I had expected). Also, this box is not approved for 4k Netflix. if you have a 4k TV...i guess you can watch lower quality entertainment in 4k?From what I can see, this is a rooted debug build. They have done a nice job of adding apps so they don't need to be side-loaded. It is somewhat open to tinkering and I have begun to do so. I am unable to install the google TV update that came out this year with the new Chromcast like other people have done with other Android TV devices. If you want something to work as an extender to a Plex or Kodi media center it would probably work, but as a stand alone box, it will not compete with a Roku, apple TV, Chromecast, or Shield TV. For now I will keep it to tinker with and see what updates provide me, but I don't expect to actually use this box for more than tinkering.
