Very versatile, and holds both of my gopros plus numerous cords, a battery handle/selfie stick, the gopro charger, several batteries, etc with room to spare. Should protect everything nicely. There is a chemical smell that you honestly have to experience to believe however, so I left mine open & seperated the foam from the case for several days before using it.

I bought two of these (and I'm about to buy two more) for a convenient way to store vacuum tubes for audio amplification projects. The objective is to store the tubes in a closable, stackable and size-appropriate case lined with impact-resistant protective foam in such a way that they fit snug, they do not touch each other (no glass-to-glass contact), and I can easily read and grab a tube with minimal effort. In one case, I can fit 28 12AX7-sized vacuum tubes and in another case I can fit 14 6V6-sized vacuum tubes. I have not tried 6L6-sized tubes yet but I expect to fit at least 12. The foam sheet is one inch thick and and has a single connected outer ring in the shape of a rectangle with the corners rounded off. Inside this ring is a rectangle of 1-cm squares, 28 squares wide and 18 squares tall. The squares attached to each other a little stronger than you'd think so it's really easy to accidentally remove extra squares. Thankfully, as long as you don't plan on leaving empty holes, this foam grid is like that classic game Don't Break The Ice, allowing you to put back the loose pieces of foam and they will stay put (and still look fairly nice if presentation is an issue, just don't do it too much). Speaking of which, there is a little bit of difficulty with customizing this case, and that goes for anything, not just tubes. Planning is key and there's a couple tools I recommend, because if you think you're going to get in there with just fingers, you're going to tear some things up. You're going to want a dull butterknife or something like it very flat with a thin, rigid, smooth edge, and then get one of those box-cutter razor blades with the snap-off design so that when it's fully elongated you essentially have a 6-9 inch razor. You'll use the back of the butter knife to cut out the shape of the chunk you want to remove: this will be mostly up-and-down motions essentially stabbing the gaps between the squares to break their connections, run the knife along the entire outline to be extra sure, then just remove the chunk from the hole by pinching it with your fingers. With the chunk removed, turn it on its side and use the fully extended razor to cut down the height of the chunk, and then put the remainder back in the hole so that there's still some foam on the bottom of the case. Even if it's only a cm thick layer of foam on the bottom, I recommend some as opposed to noe just to keep the integrity of the remaining foam in check. In the case of multiple glass vacuum tubes, I use the foam as a cushion and as a divider. I don't want the glass of one tube to touch another tube, so I need one unremoved row of foam between each tube. In order to keep each tube snug in place, it helps if the top little glass nub and if the bottom pins both poke into the surrounding foam just a tiny bit. For 6V6 tubes, this meant cutting out a chunk of foam that was 3 squares wide and 8 squares tall. For 12A_7 tubes, this was 5x2. For taller tubes (6X4, 12BH7, 6FQ7), this was 6x2. For shorter tubes (6AU6), this was 4x2. The short tubes are pretty cramped, but the foam gives well and I just can't have tubes rolling around because they came loose. As for the depth, I usually cut the chunk down to about a third of its original height so that all of the pins of the tube will push into the foam walls and make it that much more difficult to come loose if the case is jostled or dropped. For storage, this case and the supplied foam is sufficient, but for travel, I'd still recommend and extra sheet of 1 cm think foam placed on top of the tubes, or just stuff a few rags or thin books or something into the pouch that is woven into the inside of the top of the case. Having had these cases in use for a few months now, I can report that the foam does deform so there's no longer much of a clamping force between the top glass nub and the bottom pins poking into the foam walls holding the tubes in place, but for the tubes that I placed deep enough by having a shorter foam bottom, those indentions are below the surface and still keep the tubes from popping loose. For my use and my collection size, these cases are the perfect size and manageability. I have previously used all sorts of plastic containers and for one reason or another I hate them all, mostly because the compartments are either too big and the tubes roll around, or too small and difficult to pull the tube out, and besides size the plastic bins have zero shock protection. I feel so much better having my vacuum tubes all sorted, protected and stored in a short stack of small portable cases.

Nice case. I however, found the foam worthless

Im using this to travel with my vape supplies. It works well and is big enough for a dual battery box mods, and a smaller single battery box mods as well as the battery charger, 2-3 juice containers and 4 tanks. Be careful ripping the little squares out, I accidently ripped a few too many out. I'd highly recommend leaving two rows of squares between items as you customize it, a single row isn't enough support.

I purchased this for hauling a wireless guitar system with extra layer of protection. The case fits perfectly in my gig bag. The foam was easy to customize to the size I need. And the extra pouch is great for keeping small cords. Will be buying another for microphone equipment.
