Does what it should, works well.
I bought this device so I could play the sound from my DVD through my stereo system, my dvd only has hdmi out, it works fine apart from the output from the stereo phono's is quite low so the amplifier volume needs to be turned up alot. Apart from that it works fine.

Doesn't work on XBox Series X
Don't buy it, this doesn't work on XBox Series X. Screen goes blank every 10 seconds and comes back after 15 seconds and goes blank, this cycle continues.

Spot on. Really neat. Remote works well. 5.1 great
Seems a good quality piece of kit. being able to interpret 3 hdmi digital sound into 1 optical is great for my old skool 5.1 amp. No jittering about of picture so far. its picks up 5.1 from ps4 my main 5.1 source great. Had a cheaper switcher which was a piece of poop screen would blank out. worth money and not wearing my hdmi on ps4 out pulling it out to plug nintedo switch dock in all time

Good quality HDMI 2.0 switchbox with optical
Referred to quite a few different types of these before deciding on this one, but satisfied with this. Seems to do as intended, providing dolby digital 5.1 through my Logictech Z906 for my Sky Q and Xbox Series X with hdmi/optical. Got it plugged in to one of the Xbox's USB port for power which is great.Few disadvantages with this product, doesn't do HDR as far as I'm aware but thats OK as I'm using it with an older 4K non HDR LG panel downstairs. The 2.0 model which I have only does 60hz but again, said panel isn't 120hz anyway. It also occasionally drops the input so the screen goes blank, but seems to only do this sometimes after having turned on the Xbox. Easily resolved by unplugging from usb power and back in again.Other than that it's a good quality item which does what I need to do. Thank you.

It works well, low power consumption, audio is pretty good 👍
Works well, used with a freeview box, dvd and chromecast to a projector and taking audio into an amplifier for better quality sound.

OK on day one, but not the next...
Day one: Passed full 4K 3840 / 2160 from a Virgin media box, and a Win10 4K PC, into a 4K Sony TV. Fine.. No problems. It also worked OK from another 4K PC. Day two: It passed 4K from each PC for about 10 seconds and then it went blank, the PC re-applied, a good picture for another few moments, and then it went blank again. The Virgin box still passed 4K just fine, with no issues. No change to any of the PC settings, power supply, or cables. I did swop over the HDMI inputs, and tried another HDMI cable from the PC's, but that did not solve the problem. It seems this box does not like 4K PC's, ( Alienware ) for some reason. Strange that it worked OK on day one, but not thereafter. Is there a s/w update to fix this, please ? Maybe a replacement would work ? ( I have used a different 2 I/P version with no issues, btw. ) This would be a good box , if this issue was fixed...

Junk with no 12 month warranty
Junk product and no 12 month warranty either. Amazon close the return after 3 months. Pretty sure its a legal requirement for electronics to carry a minimum of 12 months in the UK.After months of solid performance, the device and no longer carry a 4k signal without dropping it and crashing. The switcher becomes frozen and will not change channels without pulling the power.Nothing in my setup has changed.
