Great Burning Man boots
Bought new, now it's gone through the dusty week long event of Burning Man. Mine arrived with a permanent scuff at the toe of the left boot hence the knockoff of a star. Since it was for the event, I didn't care. Having a side zip on a boot with good contours and somewhat breathable fabric was what I was looking for. Toe is molded and unprotected. Boots feel average quality and for the price, it's amazing value. I'd add inserts if you have arch issues or want more comfort in prolonged usage. I wore these full time at the festival except when sleeping and it had kept up. Zippers are great for the playa dust. Coil zippers would suck more in those conditions.

Best Side-Zip Jungle Combat Boots
These side zip combat boots are the best that I've ever bought my entire life. I must say they are a great buy for the cost. Very comfortable, were delivered promptly, and have withstood two or three months of every day we're so far and still going strong. The only thing that I will say is that the leather strip on the inside that goes along the zipper was slightly too short and the very bottom zipper piece dug into my ankles on the inside, so I took them to the local leather shop and had him extend the leather flap below where the zipper ended at the bottom 4 less than 20 bucks and even with that being spent on top of the price of the boots, they're still considerably cheaper than buying many other different brands that I've seen and bought and they are still much better than any of the others and the price as well. I would suggest them to anyone and I will buy again.

Too small, bad insoles
I normally wear 8 to 8.5 orderd these 9 and feeling like 8. No space for extra insoles the ones in it just about 1/8 inch thick

AGILITY, LOOK & PRANCE. IT HOLDS NOT!!!
I ordered this pair only to realize that it was going to take a while to deliver. Since I needed the boots for work, i decided to get an alternative set of boots from a local store in my area pending the arrival of these ones i ordered on Amazon. The alternative boots were sturdy, steel toe boots and a fraction cheaper than the Amazon option. However, i received the Amazon pair yesterday and wore it to work today. The new pair dont look and feel sturdy, but they for sure look good. The heavily ridged sole gives a tough, rugged masculine look to you when you wear them. Its not-so-heavy weight, but firm carriage gives you agility and prance to your steps, and for that, it earns my 4 stars.UPDATE: 02/22/2020I do not think any man with a thinking head on his shoulders would invest in a second pair of boots, if the first pair were bad. I wear these boots to work, 5 days a week, 12 hour shifts through rugged terrain for the last 10months,except for one or two perforations on the sole. THEY HELD, I got my money's worth. If the shoes are as bad as reviewers mentioned here, well, let the pictures speak for themselves.Further Update 10/22/20 - 8months After. The last pair I bought on February 12th, 2020(as seen in the 3rd & 4th pictures) is already DEAD. I guess everyday use to work, 5 days a week takes toll on the boots, wouldn't you say?. Naaaaaaaah..The boots aren't DURABLE. They can't hold up under even moderate daily use. Better to add a few dollars and find something more durable. The only take away with the boot are:1. looks good and2. It is lightweight, which helps when you have to engage in a chase for a take down. Other than those, DONT TAKE IT HOME WITH YOU, NOT WORTH IT. So I will be down grading my rating to 2 stars. If anyone out there know any "great" duty boots they have personally used, that wont break my piggybank, please kindly recommend ASAP. Running out of inexpensive option here.😤nexpensive boot that can

A decent, inexpensive boot.....
Certainly not equal in quality nor durability to the Texas Steer Kamaal 2's. but worth the cost nonetheless.

Seem pretty good out of the box but definitely need a comfortable insert.
Just received these today. Side zipper is very convenient. I paid about 24 bucks and afterwards the price went up to 29. Not sure what that's about. I needed a cheap pair of boots like this to be worn just a few times each year. As stated in other reviews they lack comfortable insoles so I inserted some. As with the pair of Interceptor boots I have from Walmart, it helps if you wear a second pair of socks. They appear to be decently made.... for a 24 dollar boot. Time will tell if they are as sturdy as they look. I wear a 9.5 to 10 shoe. These are a 9.5 and a 10 would have been too loose. I will probably use candlewax and blow dryer to waterproof them.
