Best book for ASP.NET Core
This book is very good,It has 2 main parts, the first part is for beginners, as it starts from zero and teaches you how to build a full web application without going into every detail on how everything works which is good for beginners. The second part however is the part I love, with each chapter it focuses on on subject and explains it very well, what is it, why we use it, how it works and how we can use it.I recommend this book for any developer who wants to get started with Asp.net core from beginning to intermediate. Also make sure you have small experience in C# and Html before starting with this.

Still the wrong content for this book, but Publisher helped
I brought this to Amazon's attention over the weekend, and they pulled it while checking it out. They appear to have fixed the preview "Look Inside", but when you try to read it or download, you still get Mr. Freeman's Angular 9 book. I'm sure both will be 5 stars once you can actually get this one, and I'll update my review once that's possible.Edit:Well, the content is still wrong on this book from Amazon, but the publisher helped me get the correct content, and it’s every bit as excellent as the other Adam Freeman books I have. Detailed, easy to understand, and step by step. I’m a much better developer because of these books.

First Impression
First things first... this book is way to big and I am not talking the number of pages, it measures 8.5 inches by 11 inches. The book is going to be difficult to handle, size wise. Glancing through the content it seems to cover things pretty well and I will update this review after I finish it. Apress should of broken the book up into two books and still sold it as one, but as part 1 and part 2. I am not looking forward to having to man handle such a larger book to extract the content.

Exactly what I was looking for
The book goes into great detail on how to build robust software with C# and covers modern technologies such as Blazor. It was just what I needed.

Excellent book which covers a ton of stuff
One of the few tech books I've been happy with over the years, and I've been through many. He has even updated it all for .NET 5 in his GIT repository. I can't recommend this book enough.

Exhaustive
Clear explanations with ample examples. Well organized. There were spots that could have used more coverage like on the tag helper testing, but considering the breadth really not an issue.

Wish Content was Better Arranged
To me, the content layout seems a little confused. I wanted to dig right into Razor Pages, the preferred model to build websites with ASP.NET Core. Instead it starts off with an MVC example. And why start off with an example instead of first introducing the reader to the technology?I would have preferred an introduction to Razor Pages that slowly expands into bigger examples, and then move on to do the same thing with Blazor, APIs, etc. There is some good information in this book. But it isn't structured such that I'd want to work through the content in order.

I wish this book to be split up into two separate books
I found this book really useful to understand hosting- and configuration-related aspects of modern ASP.NET. But at the same time, I haven't read at all all the chapters related to MVC framework, Razor pages, Blazor etc. Only few of my friends and colleagues use MVC and none use Blazor. Everything is shifting to use Angular or React front served by Web API back. So my suggestion that the author, Adam Freeman, may found as making sense is to split the whole huge book into two parts - one about core concepts and the other containing framework-specific content. Then people interested in fundamental knowledge, differences between ASP.NET Framework and Core, details of Kestrel and so on would get much clearer book not including needless information.

Très dense, complet
Complet, très complet, ... mais pas facile à intégrer tant les informations sont complètes. Il n'est pas fait de différence entre l'indispensable et l'optionnel. Peut être manque d'un sous ensemble de type "votre application en quelques clics"

Clear and Comprehensive Book for the ASP.NET Core Platform
Excellent book about Asp.Net Core 3. Almost all of the content is usable also for Core 5 using the updated Github page. The font of the printed book is not so good, I suggest you a digital version where you can copy and paste your code into visual studio and try how it works.5 Stars, great book
