Tiny Rabbit's Big Wish is a small, poignant, well written story with a wonderful read aloud flow that has that special rhythm that reminds me of a classic folklore tale. Tiny Rabbit wishes to be big - a wish that many kids will certainly be able to relate to. He soon discovers that even though he will grow bigger, he will never be as tall as a giraffe, or as powerful as a gorilla, or as big as a mountain. Even though he won't have a nose as long as an elephant, he will have ears that will enable him to hear everything in the forest. He learns the value of being himself and the importance of being small. A nice lesson told in a story filled with gentle charm and wisdom.I can't wait to share Tiny Rabbit's Big Wish with my story time audiences. It's the perfect length for even the squirmiest of preschoolers where its whimsical nature will be sure to charm. The illustrations feature a very appealing combination of bold colors, fuzzy edges, and expressive characters. This is a must have for any story time leader or parent wanting to reinforce the idea that we are all unique.
