Teach Yourself Irish Grammar You Really Need to Know: A Practical Course

This is a great product for somebody just learning. Kind of odd hearing random noises come from your spouse but apparently that's the language .

The author is well known as an Irish language educator - several of my Irish teachers mentioned him and I wasn't disappointed. The text is quite thorough and although it's supposedly for beginners, there is enough material in this text for intermediate learners as well.

Exellent grammar overview. I found the chapters a bit too packed and therefore forbidding, but the author has done an excellent job of presenting almost everything.

This is really helpful for someone, such as myself, who had learned Irish as a child and wants to revise it. It is a practical course, per the subtitle, which is what I wanted. Not sure how useful it would be to an absolute beginner. Such a person would need something more elementary or to have this book as a supplement to a primer.

Lenition and eclipsis are a pain. Adjectives inflecting to match noun gender and singular/plural are a pain. Noun cases are a pain. In fact, Gaeilge is a more difficult language than I'd expected because of these complexities. That's where this book comes in. If you're having trouble with the grammar, this book will solve your problems neatly and quickly. If you're serious about learning Irish Gaelic, you really can't afford to pass this one up.

Hand reference guide, tad expensive and not sure about logic of layout.

Really pleased with this purchase. This book lays out everything in a nice format, and is comprehensive. Great for going back to study and re-study material. It's helped me so much already.

This is a must for those who wish to brush up on their Irish Grammar. Can only speak as one who has learned grammar previously and is revising it. Clear and concise descriptions of grammar terms in English.

Excellent resource to understanding the plethora of grammar rules developed by what can only be likened to drunk monks.

Voy a exponer simplemente que no explica de forma expresa que el nominativo y acusativo es lo mismo, además, en el libro en la parte de los apéndices es donde aparecen las diferentes declinaciones, pero aquí está otra sorpresa, solo encontrareis el nominativo y el genitivo, nada más. No hay tablas para el resto de la declinación (vocativo y dativo),. En wikipedia se aprende mejor la gramática que con este libro. Hay pocas gramáticas en referidas al estudio de diferentes languas que sean pedagógicas y claras.

Un bon petit condensé de ce qu'il est indispensable de savoir afin de s'attaquer à ce monstre qu'est la grammaire irlanadaise!
