Mushkin SSDs are not to be worn on a hot date.
Ok, the retailer asked me to mention "thickness and "sheerness".The SSD is 7mm thickI cannot see through it at all. So it is much less sheer than any pantyhose or lace nighties I am familiar with. But I do not expect anyone to wear a Mushkin SSD for its sheerness.Or wear any SSD for that matter. That said....Mushkin makes topnotch products and they really do support their customers and honor their warrantees. I have bought three Mushkin SSDs, both SATA and M.2 NVME. Their stuff is good. And it comes from Pflugerville TX.Cant get any better than that.

Second one worked just fine
OK, so I bought this 1TB drive and a 2TB drive for two different computers. Unfortunately the 1TB was DOA but because of the pandemic it took longer than the Amazon window of return to find this out once installed. This required me to go through the manufacturer for warranty replacement. This was not a big issue for me and they took care of the problem in a timely manner. I appreciate the customer service. The new drive arrived and it was installed within a week and works great. Windows 10 zips along much faster now and my wife's computer is now fast enough that I don't have to listen to her bitch about it anymore.

Defective - see pictures - UPDATE - still defective
I am getting this replaced. Until I get a new unit to test and use, I have to leave a negative review. The drive has 'coil whine' when writing files and has abysmal write speeds in the 32k - 256k range. Again, see attached photo. If the replacement works correctly, I will revise this review.UPDATE:The replacement drive suffers the same problem. I am getting a refund and ordering another brand. Avoid this.

Switching to Solid State Drives is totally worth it!
When SSD's first came out, it was only for the elite, but since I've bought my first Mushkin I've now installed 8 more, and have many impressed clients. It's almost as fast as having everything loaded directly into RAM. It's even made my slightly outdated Dell work fast enough to run some games for the kids. I have also installed some higher priced "premium" brands for some customers and haven't noticed exactly what they paid so much for. I buy Mushkin.

Fits the Xbox One, among many other devices
Internal SATA-III SSD, light and flat, fit perfectly, and upgraded the slow platter drive in my One. What a difference! Load speeds are less than half in most cases...tells you how much lag there is on the servers! That being said, it was pretty straightforward and easy to install once I had the system apart.

Super Drive
I did a drive to drive trasnfer from my laptop HD to the Mushkin Source-II - 1TB Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) and my load up time went from 2 minutes to 54 seconds, ready to work. Data transfer rate to USB dirve is faster. Viewing pictures is faster. Almost beats having to buy a new computer.

Good value for money ... but could screws not be included?
Based on reviews and the lower price, I went with this drive even though I wasn't familiar with the brand. I wanted to upgrade my existing 500 GB SSD to 2 TB. Got the drive installed, cloned my existing SSD, bumped up the partition size, and booted up with no issues. Barring any later failures, seems like a good deal. One minor quibble though ... why is it that SSD manufacturers don't include mounting screws? It's not just Mushkin, my last SSD purchase was a Western Digital and it also did not come with screws. The screw size isn't listed anywhere in the product description; I subsequently ordered some "SSD mounting screws" that turned out to be far too small. (With both drives, I eventually resorted to duct tape to mount them to the bracket.) All of the screw holes in the drive are the same size; it wouldn't be that hard (or expensive) to provide a couple of screws, or at the very least, tell the buyer what size screws to get. But, as this seems to be a problem with all SSDs of this form factor, don't let it dissuade you from giving this one a try.

Not bad at all
Well from a gaming perspective, This one really surprised me. Games load far quicker than I was expecting and there's virtually no stuttering at all. I took the pleasure of putting about 700 gigs worth of games on it from the start. Haven't had any issues and I think it even improves filters and fps slightly when playing games.
