Fox OutdoorProducts Advanced Mountaineering Pack, Black

This pack is amazing. It's got room for everything, and is totally adjustable. I just got it yesterday, and I went to pack with my gear last night. I was afraid that if I didn't have enough gear to fill the available space that it would be loose and awkward. Not so. I was able to cinch everything down tight, and the pack felt full even though I'd not used all of the available space.You can access the main compartment two different ways. You can get to everything by opening the top (like most packs), but then with this pack you can also lay it flat and unzip the sides to and the whole front flaps down giving you easy access to everything inside without having to dig to around from a single opening at the top.I was afraid of getting a pack this big, but now I'm really glad that my buddy talked me into getting this one. I'll be taking it out into the field in a couple of weeks, and I can't wait to see how it performs.

Amazing pack for rucking/ camping. Tons of room, Ruggiero zippers, all of the straps come off very easily for washing, tons of molle webbing for perfect customization. The front of the backpack unzips for easy access of all of your gear without unpacking everything. Very big and very durable. Rain cover attached in the bottom Zipper pocket

Exactly what I needed. Quality is tops and is comfortable loaded up or empty. It doesn’t get in the way moves with you. I added some molle compartments but has enough without. Can’t go wrong. No need for pic because it’s pretty accurate on page.

Price was right, and I liked the look of it, and the reviews were ok! So, after hikin in/out of Havasu Cyn, here are my impressions:1. Fit/comfort: Not surprising, but the ergonomics of this pack are TERRIBLE, when compared to "real" backpacking packs. Absent is any of the "contour", designed to isolate the weight on your hips w/minimal contact w/your shoulders. No frame whatsoever. The "breathable" mesh fabric on the underside of the straps is very coarse, and, ifu like to go bareback, like me, u better rig-up some kinda softer covering for the straps, or they'll chew u up! I wrapped a lycra T-Shirt on each for the return trip, and that did tha trick, even if it looked "ghetto". I'd consider myself an "average Joe", and the height-adjustable shoulder straps do not allow for enough lowering of the straps to get the pack resting on my upper hips. It rides low when compared to "real" packs, at least on ME. The vertical zippers on each side of the front of the back, that allow for ez access to its contents are great, BUT, why do the zippers run from top to bottom?!!! The stuff on top is already ez to get at! It's the stuff on the bottom that u really need ez access to! Minor gripe, but annoying that they din't thinkit through. It is HEAVY too!2. Material/workmanship: Thankfully, I experienced none of the defects that some have complained about. The buckles are clearly "chintzy", and realizing this, I handled them gently. I could easily imagine them breaking if handled roughly.

Awesome bag! Has pockets for everything and is easily adjusted.

Bag was a little bigger than I thought but over all great pack use it form the army and it holds together extremely well

yet to use it but after giving it a good look over, it looks like it will stand up to some hard work

Purchased this bag after watching a couple of video reviews and after reading several reviews here and on other sites. The bag is big and has plenty of room. However, the two side pouches are pretty much worthless. If you have the inside of the bag packed, it is nearly impossible to utilize the side pouches. Also, when I received this bag, the stitching was already coming undone in several places. Some stitching on the shoulder strap was completely undone. Because of the stitching issue alone, I would not trust this bag to hold long term.I have another Fox Tactical Bag - the Advanced 3-Day Combat Pack and do not have the same production issues. Stitching is tight, and bag is solid. Not sure if this is just a faulty bag, or if there are issues with the construction of the Advanced Mountaineering Pack in general. Another reviewer also had issues with stitching. To me, this is a quality issue.
