Amazing tool
I can't say enough about this trowel. I needed to re-coat walls that were done in a THICK texture (which I hate) and bought this to help with the process. I could not get over how easy it is to use and how smooth the walls turn out. I have used it on any and every patching job since then. You have to practice a bit to get it so there are no lines (kind of sweep it in an arc) but it saves so much time on sanding because you can get a wall really smooth with this. Highly recommend!

Worked like a charm.
I looked hard for the flimsier style I seen on YouTube vids but only found the magic trowel instead. It did work just fine I must say! Having 2 sizes at first seemed silly, I used the 22inch for majority of the rooms but was thrilled to have the 12 inch for bathrooms, closets, etc. You get a smoother result having the appropriate sized squeegee. And that's all it is is a flimsy squeegee that knocks down the wet mud about 5 minutes after you spray it. Word of caution, it's it's mud sprayed on a painted surface, spray lightly and then wait more than you would on bare drywall. The paint won't let the water soak in so I ended up smushing the mud in the baths and kitchens. I went back a day later and resprayed and since it was covered in dried mud the texture came out much better.

Excellent item for beginners!
We did a skim coat wall and it was easy. We aren’t drywallers, but we are DIYers. This product gave us a professional look without the qualifications. Thoroughly impressed!

Awesome Product!
It works for concrete and for drywall mud.. You can use a paint roller with your mud on your drywall seams and then wipe off excess mud with the magic trowel.. So Smooth! We will also be using it to skim coat our concrete floor to prep for staining. This is the bomb if you are doing drywall or concrete you wont believe how smooth the surface.. We received it quick and please know that if you are doing concrete, you will need to purchase a tapered pole at your hardware store, this comes with only a handle.

One handle to share between two blades plus one other problem
Maybe they thought if they could sell it with only one handle that would make the "kit" cheaper and we'd buy it but most of us have the money or credit to buy anything expensive as long as we're getting what we expect. So this "kit" comes with one handle to take off and put it on the other and visa versa. Others have already addressed this issue. The real problem I have is that you have 2 sheet metal screws tightening into plastic. So if you don't get the correct angle you are going to cross-thread it and it will go in crooked and then wobble in time and then stripped and now you're either gluing it or using machine screws and nuts to secure it to your ONE handle. You also don't get a fancy box like it would be found at a home center and no instructions except on the handle in small print it does say "Wet blade before using". No hints or tips on how to use it for us DIY'ers or warranties if the screws in the handle strips the holes. But, most of us are pretty good McGivers and if it's worth keeping we'll use duct tape or machine screws or simply throw it away and buy a similar blade at Harbor Freight where everything in there is imported and works just as good. (Stepping off of my soapbox).

No indentations from this product!
I am in no way an expert at drywall muddling and tried a cheaper product that looked identical to this but was completely disappointed when indentations showed up in the mud as I was skim coating. So I ordered this for a lot more money and thank goodness there's no drag marks! Highly recommend!!

Aptly Named!
I have been using Texmaster Magic Trowels for a couple of years now and enjoy reading the reviews. We are all so obviously overjoyed and proud of this product. I am a plasterer and use it differently than most of the other reviews. I use it on regular and thick mixes to lay down any overlap marks I can't get with my metal trowel. It has eliminated the need to scrape down ridges and seams between coats. It takes some practice to get the touch with it, but once achieved it is truly a magic trowel.Yet even 5 star magic products have drawbacks, she's a bit of a prima donna. Keep the protective sleeve on when not in use, even taping it so it can't slide (that's the way it arrives). I have ruined a few of them by not showing proper respect. I kept it at 5 stars because it may be I'm just too much the brute.
