NETGEAR C7800 - Discontinued by Manufacturer

Got a notice from Cox one day that we needed to upgrade our modem. I've been a Netgear user for the last 4 modems/routers we've used. So I stuck with the brand. This combo box has worked flawlessly. Honestly, the only problems -- speeds, dropped signals -- have all been because of Cox (I know: you're shocked!).

I'm happy with the range without using extenders. It's a bit hefty and feels like good quality.

11/15 Update: The issue with the LAN ports was our Ethernet switch. The switch was defective and once I replaced it, the router-modem worked great. LAN ports get 900 megabits/sec (Infinity plan we get is 800Mps).11/12: The Wi-Fi connections work great - no issues for either 4G or 5G channels. The LAN ports however, constantly loose connection. I have tried all 4 LAN ports and they all have the same problem. I've tried rebooting, different computers with no luck. The cabling and computers I'm using worked fine with my last modem/router configuration. It is not xfinity (wi-fi is working). It is definitely the Netgear C7800.When the LAN ports are working, I get the full 800mbs that I am paying Xfinity for. I am returning this product and getting a Motorola MG8702 instead. I hope that one works out.

My internet speed is so much faster. My 3.0 Docsis top speed was about 43MG while hard wired. Now my speed is 220MG via Wifi. The fastest I ever got via ethernet cable was 70MG. The Wifi range is over 200ft. @ 200ft, and thru 4 walls- router installed on southside of house I was outside 150 Ft north of my house, my cell phone was still getting 3 bars. I got between 2 & 3 bars on the other side of my shed that is 100 ft. away from my house.

Having a lot of connectivity problems with this no=-=modem that when reset, sometimes fixes it. Also has problems with 2.4 G WiFI. THis stared to happen after the 90 day return. DOne again, I’d skip the 10% off on a refurbished to just get a new item.

I received my modem today and was completely satisfied with the packaging, the quality of product. I was even more impressed with how fast I was able to get my internet connection up and running. This gear was praised by my service provider in regards to it's compatibility with future capabilities. Thus far it is very impressive,Thank you.

Although the description reads: NETGEAR Nighthawk Cable Modem WiFi Router Combo (C7800) - Compatible with Cable Providers Including Xfinity by Comcast, Cox, Spectrum AC3200 WiFi Speed | DOCSIS 3.1 (Renewed), and the wifi worked great, Infinity/Comcast refused to connect the router to their system, claiming it did not work with Comcast Business. So now I'm stuck with their stupid modem and router. However, Amazon made it easy to return the Nighthawk and get a refund which was great.

Came earlier than expected and appeared new. The instructions were easy to follow and simple to install. One call to the internet service provider and we were blazing down the info super-highway. Couldn't have been easier.
