Yes, it is a bit creepy when she talks and moves her head. My daughter loves to feed her juice and food, and play Mommy. To make her more economical, use cloth diapers and make your own food. The gDiapers newborn size fit her perfectly; you can buy cloth or disposable gDiapers inserts, or just use several layers of thick paper towels such as Viva. If anything soaks through, you just wipe out the inside of the gDiaper or you can throw it in the wash.To make your own food, use a food thickener with Xanthan Gum such as Thicken Up Clear. A 4 oz container costs about $10 and will last a very long time. Use just enough to cover the indentation in Baby Alive's spoon, add to the bowl, fill the bowl with warm water up to the fill line and stir until dissolved. It will be the same consistency as the regular baby alive food. Add a drop or two of non-staining food coloring to make peas, squash, pears, whatever.

This is one of the gifts we got for our 7 yr old granddaughter for Christmas. As soon as she opened it no other Christmas present existed. Even though she is a girly girl, she has never been doll crazy..... until now! This doll doesn't leave her side and it's been that way since the moment she opened it. At first, we would buy the extra Baby Alive food and diapers but we were going through them so fast. Now, we buy real preemie diapers and make the baby food ourselves (learned online to mix baking soda with water and food coloring). Such a fun/funny doll!

I received this doll this morning and right when I showed the box to my daughter she was really happy and excited to play with it! We tried the doll and it works fine and my daughter was really happy feeding her "baby" and changing the diaper whenever she pee and poop... Overall I am really happy purchasing this because my daughter loves it so much... the only thing that i got a little disappointed was I thought real surprises baby dolls mouth moves and chew and frown and this one didnt... But aside from that I am happy with it.. =)

While I love the doll, the true test will be my granddaughter's response to it. The shipping package, unfortunately was so beat up, I was afraid the interior box and the doll inside would be damaged. Seems to be okay, but I cannot wrap it in the beat up box. I'll have to "think outside the box". I thought about complaining, but to whom?? I'm pretty sure everyone would pass the buck on the poor condition of the toy's box, so what was the point???

We were so disappointed in this, we got this for our daughter for Christmas day from Santa as this was the only item she wanted for Christmas. We also ordered the extra pack of diapers and food. Needless to say, she was so excited to open it, that she ripped the box open....we turned it off demo mode and made the food and put water in the bottle. We followed the directions.....and to our disappointment, all the doll did was continue to leak food out it's mouth, as if it was throwing up. The doll is cute and all, but the true excitement for this 5 year old was to see it eat and do it's thing. Unfortunately, we are extremely disappointed. We didn't attempt to return because the box was destroyed upon opening it. But truly a disappointment to us and our little one on Christmas morning! This was her BIG Santa surprise....

Person it was given to was very,, very excited/pleased w/baby alive doll. IMO a lot to pay for 1 (one) doll. But it wasn't for me so didn't matter as long as recipient was pleased. But!! after just 2 (two) days the doll itself stopped working as in talking, moving eyes. The speaking part of this particular baby alive was the reason it was purchased. Can't put a price on a Happy Face Kid. She was Very upset at this problem/issue. And it wasn't the batteries as I checked them and batteries were fully charged. And they were a name brand battery w/dependability w/name. But replaced current batteries w/new ones that were of same quality. Still didn't work. So I disassembled doll completely, except left cheap wire job as it was. Doll was damp inside. Plastic tube inside doll leaks, at least the doll I purchased does/did. Used hair/blow dryer and q tips and dried dolls internal area/parts. Put it back together which was not easy b/c couldn't match body up evenly. Had another Surgeon assist. w/help, as in another set of hands we were able to reassemble baby alive back together once again, unlike Humpty Dumpty. After several tries moving off/on switch and holding in button on front (stomach) it started working again. Held stomach button in for approximately 60 sec. before it started working. . Operation was Successful for now? Unable to say if it will continue to operate as described at this juncture. My advice was just pretend to feed doll and hopefully it will keep talking and eye movement?

Paid a premium price for this doll, but it does everything and Baby Sara is a nice addition to the family. Leave it to Amazon to have this doll!. I searched high and low and the only place I could find this particular doll was Amazon. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet to make a little girl happy.

MY GRAND DAUGHTER IS 9 AND SHE LOOOOVES IT. WE ORDERED EXTRA DIAPERS AND FOOD. BUT I BOUGHT A BOX OF RICE CEREAL AND PUT A DROP OF FOOD COLORING IN IT. AFTER SHE CHANGED THE FIRST POOPY DIAPER I WALK DOWN THE HALL PAST THE BATHROOM AND SHE HAD THE POTTY CHAIR OUT. SHE WAS FEEDING THE BABY SITTING ON THE POTTY!!! LOL
