Barman give me another.
I watched both series when they were on sky one and laughed out loud at every episode. I've been waiting for what seems like an eternity hoping tgp would be released on dvd and its finally here. All hale to the ale one of the best british comedies in years. Can't wait for the rest to be released now because you can't tire of this landlord.

Funnier than the first time
Great stuff here.Loved all the charecters...Loved the show.Loved the plots.Love the windy customers too.I thought it was funny on TV but this seems to be funnier. It's a bit irreverant at times, but that is what makes it so funny.

Al Murray - Time Gentleman Please
AL MURRAY, stars as the obnoxious PUB LANDLORD, based on his popular stand-up character joined by an impressive supporting cast, written by RICHARD HERRING (You Can Choose Your Friends, Fist of Fun) and including: MARC BANNERMAN (Eastenders), PHIL DANIELS (Eastenders, Quadrophenia, Scum), REBECCA FRONT (Knowing Me, Knowing You, Jonathan Creek, Lewis), and JULIA SAWALHA (Absolutely Fabulous, Pride and Prejudice, Chicken Run). With quick-fire retorts and `the best of British thinking', the boozer-based sitcom kicks off with THE GUV desperately trying to preserve the sanctuary of his male-only gaff. In this series, Al is forced to reconsider his 'No Women' policy when a sexy Australian barmaid ( Janet Wilson ) Julia Sawalha arrives looking for a job, As the pub skids from one drama to the next, pull up a stool and watch on as THE PUB LANDLORD deals with a brand new (female) Brewery Area Manager `Muzz Jackson', Rebecca Front a face-off with the Landlord Academy bully, and his first date in a year.

New developments!
As the previous reviewers have already pointed out, TGP is a tremendous programme poorly served by the 6 episode DVD released close to 2 and a half years ago, with no sign of any further releases since that time. Its for this reason that I have just contacted Avalon UK, who manage Al Murray, to see if they had any updates about plans for releasing the rest of the series. They've told me that they have just secured a deal which will see ALL of Time Gentlemen Please (presumably including series 2?) released, hopefully within the next 6 months. They cannot confirm precisely when this will be, nor in what package (i.e in 6 episode chunks etc).Nonetheless if you're a fan of TGP (and presumably you are, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this review right now) i'm sure you'll all agree this is great news!
