Plantronics Explorer 233 Bluetooth Headset - Bulk Packaging - Black/Gray (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

Items arrived in great shape(I bought 2 of them). The headset works very well so far. I love the "funneled" shape of these plantronics headsets vs. the normal, round shape of most Bluetooth headsets. These stay in my ear & don't feel like they are on the verge of falling out like most I've tried(I don't think I could shake them loose no matter what I do!). They paired easily and have the voice dial functionality that I use so often. The only thing that I don't like about this headset so far is that the volume control goes back to the lowest setting with the next press of the button after the max setting is reached. A 2-button setup would have been much better, but this is not a deal-breaker & it can be gotten used to. I am planning on ordering at least 1 more to leave in my other car(you CANNOT go wrong at this price!!!!).

I have purchased several Plantronics Explorer products over the years. In fact, I was informed by my brother several years ago that they had the best sound quality and they fit nicely into your ear so when you are driving it blocks out noise making it easier to focus on your conversation. I found that to be true and that is the reason I continue to buy these products. Unfortunately, although the Explorer 233 has the same features when it comes to fitting in my ear and also looking stylish, I am consistently getting a distorted faint sound popping up about every twenty minutes when I am on a call. If I switch my phone to speaker then back to the Plantronics device, the sound and distortion goes away, but it does come back. Otherwise, the device is stylish, comfortable and has all of the functionality and you cannot go wrong for the price.

This Plantronics Explorer 233 headset works great with my phone; however, it does not work with my Windows 8 desktop, nor my Windows 7 laptop (both are 64-bit). I've read about driver digital signature issues, other online reviews saying it might be compatible with Windows XP or Vista (yuck). If you're expecting it to work on PC, research this a little bit further.It also doesn't do anything when you press the button - like some headsets work with Android to let you make calls by saying "call [so-and-so]" or whatev after pressing the button. I don't care about that feature but it would be nice.5 stars for the value. I used it today and it sounded great. I charged it the first time three weeks ago, it's been used like 5 times for maybe 10 minutes of total use. I turn it off when not using it and haven't seen low battery light yet.

This is as good as any other I have tried (and better than some). Like all that I have tried, the sound is OK but not great. It is the equal of others and gets a 10 star rating on price! The only one I have seen that appears from the reviews to be better was an $80 one that had a boom mike in front of the mouth and noise cancelling. It makes sense that having the microphone near your ear is not the ideal place, but it does keep the unit compact. Like all headsets, some fit one person better, others are better for other people. This is a good set at an unbelievable price.

While all Plantonics seems to be great this one is my favorite. It's smaller, and the all black blend right in. However, it is my husband's favorite as well which is why I was forced to buying another one. I will never go with any other brand. These ear pieces are very comfy, and makes life so much easier. I love the convience of owning a Bluetooth. But I know I could be confident in buying Plantonics

this is a low end bluetooth dont be confused. i read some reviews where ppl were saying this is a great bluetooth well its not. it just another cheap low end bluetooth maybe good for gaming and that's it. if you need a bluetooth for you phone spend a extra $20

This item worked for a month then the volume went bad. I was sick and now tried to get my money back and it is too late for that. Oh well I lost my money that I do not have a bluetooth. I bought a Plantronics because I had one for 5 years and worked great. Am dissapointed that am only a week late to return or get a refund. I should have more time. Now I do not have money to get another one. VERY DISSAPOINTED.

Low expectations where eliminated as the item works exactly as described. Clear sound and the wire ear clip works well to keep device in place on your ear. Charges quick and holds charge for a long time. I will get another if this one fails.
